~ Elsa Holmes to the nameless protagonist |
Corporate Arch Demoness (CAD) Elsa Holmes, also known as just Elsa Holmes, is a minor antagonist in the 2021 first-person shooter Cruelty Squad. She is the despotic ruler of CONTROL, one of the most powerful corporations on the planet and the parent company of the Cruelty Squad.
Her power and influence allows her to order the Cruelty Squad to attack otherwise untouchable targets, a fact that she is more than willing to abuse.
Appearance[]
Elsa has blond-white hair, tied in a ponytail, alongside pink colored eyes. She wears a purple colored business suit with a violet shirt and an orange tie.
Personality[]
Elsa Holmes is a cruel businessman who only cares about her personal power and her company's stock. She doesn't care about the lives of her employees and is more than willing to get rid of everyone who stands in her way. She is also very vindictive, since she ordered the assassination of Sir Fatberg, just because she lost a lot of money at his casino.
Elsa losing a significant sum of money at a casino implies that she has a gambling problem, and her desire to kill Sir Fatberg, as an act of revenge, showcases that she also has an extreme hatred towards the idea of losing.
Biography[]
Elsa is the Corporate Arch Demoness of CONTROL, a corporation so powerful that they pretty much control the entire planet. Due to her immense power as the most influencial person in the world, Elsa can order the Cruelty Squad to assassinate targets that they would normally refuse. The fact that Cruelty Squad seems to be a subsidiary of CONTROL only reinforces how much authority Elsa has over the assassination company.
After losing a big sum of money at the Fatberg Casino, Elsa orders the assassination of the owner, Sir Fatberg, as an act of revenge. The protagonist ends up being the one in charge of this request and he kills Sir Fatberg.
Later, the protagonist invades CONTROL's main building to kill Elsa alongside all of the companies' higher-ups, in an attempt to destroy their control over his life and to rebel against the company's tyranny. Before dying, Elsa tells the protagonist that his efforts are futile as she can just use resurrection technology to bring herself back to life endlessly, a fact that is later confirmed to be true.
In the "hope eradicated" difficulty, the office's security has been drastically increase, presumably, because this difficulty is only available after the game's first ending and Elsa is already expecting the protagonist to break into her office to kill her again.
Trivia[]
- Her name is in reference to Elizabeth Holmes, a former businesswoman, who was sentenced to 11 years in prison for fraud.
