Elvis is a major antagonist of the anime Black Lagoon, appearing as the primary antagonist in the Greenback Jane arc. He is the arrogant leader of the Neveral Cartel, a Florida-based crime syndicate. Elvis is a mobster ignorant of the customs of crime lords in the city and does whatever he wants to achieve his goals there.
He was voiced by Shinpachi Tsuji in Japanese version and by Paul Dobson in the English version.
History[]
Elvis is the head of the Florida-based mafia in Roanapur who has hired Greenback Jane to make counterfeit bills for his gang but was fed up with delays and her going over budget, and in response kills her assistant, Leo before giving her two days. Herself fed up with the gang's mistreatment of her, Jane flees the mafia's clutches and seeks help in the Rip-Off Church whose members Eda and associate Revy try to reject her, but Elvis arrival with gunfire garners their onslaught to him and his thugs who narrowly escape death, for which Elvis vows to kill them.
Elvis's associate Lobos tries to reason with with Elvis, warning him about the city's own gangs and rules, but he ignores him and sends his right-hand-man, Russell to hire the city's hitmen to kidnap Jane for him. When they start to fail, Elvis orders Lobos to call in his own men from Florida. After Jane is saved by the Lagoon Company, it is implied Lobos killed Elvis to avoid further trouble in the city.
