Emilia de La Borda is an antagonist of Al fondo hay lugar in the seventh and eghth seasons of the series. Emilia was the wife of Nicolás De Las Casas and the former stepmother of Nelly Francesca.
Emilia was involved with Nicolás and the Maldini Family and even Francesca conditions her to be his heiress and protégé in exchange for not abandoning Nicolás and hiding her crime. However, after the events in the final chapter of the Eighth Season, Emilia would have her definitive arrest due to the evidence and witnesses that linked her to the death of Violeta Huamán.

Season Seven[]
Emilia arrived from London to supposedly stay with Ariana, her great friend from youth. She loves to travel and before she met Nicolás she could not spend more than six months in one place. Being Ariana's confidante and taking advantage of her redhead's good faith and ingenuity, she couldn't help feeling very attracted to Nicolás and betraying her friend's trust. It should be noted that the romance between the redhead and the eldest son of Los Maldini did not last long because with the passing of the plot, it became known that Emilia kissed her best friend's partner.
At the same time she kissed "the most handsome", she tried to manipulate Ariana by telling her that Nicolás was not for her. Eighth Season[]
Foreword[]
She was trying to leave the Maldini house, but Francesca prevented her because if she left she would tell the truth about Violeta, so she was "locked in her own cage" inside the Maldini house. So, she was planning to leave Nicholas. Shortly after, however, Nicolás is released from the charges against him and returns to Las Lomas and to work, but this time at the Fernico Corporation, which he founded with his sister.
Grace: a threat to Emilia[]
On the day of her wedding with Nicolás, Grace appears again but she faints. Later, Emilia and Nicolás go to the hospital and Emilia tells Nicolás that she already knew that Grace was alive (through Francesca, who had kept this information from her family). So, Nicolás was very angry and he booted the car where they were and Nicolás threw the engagement ring out the window of his car.
Despite all this, Nicolás and Emilia reconcile and lie to Grace telling her that they would be good friends, but in truth she was lying. Emilia told Grace that she was a hypocrite and that she hates her, she also claimed her because during all this time she flirted with Nicolás and used her daughter as an excuse. Grace explained that now she is with Marco and Nico is only the father of her daughter, but Emilia reminded her that she wanted to elope to Panama.
