Emily O'Brien, better known as Emily The Spider, is the main antagonist of Lupin III: Angel's Tactics - The Fragment of a Dream Smells of Murder. She is the leader of an all-female terrorist organization called the Bloody Angels.

She was voiced by Naoko Matsui.

Biography[]

The Bloody Angels are interested in a seemingly alien artifact kept in the Area 51, their goal is to use a special reagent capable of working the strong material of which the artifact is made of in order to produce advanced weapons. Emily The Spider assumes the fake identity of "Emily O'Brien", a scientist assigned to study the artifact. After Lupin managed to stole the artifact from the base, Emily is assigned to work alongside Zenigata in his usual hunting of Lupin, however, her main goal secretly remained the alien metal.

After many vicissitudes Lupin's group reach an island where the Bloody Angels are ready for an ambush, Lupin and his friends confront the organization until one of the members, Poison Sophie, before dying tells Lupin the real objectives of the organization only to get killed by Emily who finally drop the mask and reveals herself as leader of the Bloody Angels leaving Zenigata in shock.

Emily and her remaining forces then face Lupin and his friends in a last stand battle where the latter emerge victorious. Defeated and wounded, Emily then tries to reach the island shores and flee with her ships but she finds that are all sunken by Goemon, cornered she then decides to make a deal with Lupin, the heroes refuse though and Lupin, still angered for the death of Sophie, gets ready to execute Emily however he later rethinks and withdraw the gun thinking that vengeance won't bring Sophie back leaving a crying Emily behind. Using this moment of distraction the girl tries to extract a pistol hidden in her leg holster and shot Lupin in his back but his quickness allows him to have the upper hand. Her death is later mourned by Zenigata who saw her almost as a daughter.
