Emperor Aton is the nine tailed ruler of the Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire and the main antagonist of Kagaku Sentai Dynaman.
He is the father of Prince Megiddo and the uncle of Princess Chimera.
He is voiced by the late Takeshi Watabe, who previously voiced Lagorn in Kousoku Sentai Turboranger and the elder Shuten Douji Brothers in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger as well as Don Horror, God Neros and Emperor Gaohm in the Metal Heroes franchise, the Creation King in Kamen Rider BLACK and Waruder in Kikaider 01.

The Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire originated from a meteor that crashed into Earth and burrowed into its core, where the lifeforms within it evolved into a civilisation known as the Tailed-People. The Tailed-People became advanced in science and eventually came to be ruled by Emperor Aton and his son Prince Megiddo. Due to Megiddo's inexperience though, Aton's second in command was the talented General Kar; a genius scientist responsible for creating the Jashinka's Evolution Beasts as only he could operate the Evolutionary Progressor. It was mentioned that he has a little sister who was the mother of Princess Chimera, though who she is and what happened to her is unknown.
Hearing of the legends that gaining ten tails would give him God-like powers, Emperor Aton decided that conquering the Surface World of the Earth would allow him to evolve into the God-like being. Fifteen years ago, the Jashinka uncovered the work of Doctor Tooyama to create Retro Genes that would cause humans to evolve but Aton just saw their chance to get stronger and gain a tenth tail. Elements of the Empire attacked his lab and killed all of his assistants which included his wife but Tooyama managed to escape and bury the Retro Genes underground so they could not be used again. Well aware of the threat that the Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire could pose in the future, Tooyama changed his name to Doctor Kyuutarou Yumeno and began building the weaponry that would later be given to the Dynamen.

In 1983, Emperor Aton begins plans to invade the surface of Earth so he causes volcanoes to erupt around Japan and has General Kar send Crab Evo for humans to experiment on. After discovering that humans cannot become Nine-Tailed People, he sends Prince Megiddo to lead the final invasion only for the Dynamen to emerge and repel the invasion. Aton initially appoints Megiddo as commander of the Jashinka forces with General Kar being the one to create the Evolution Beasts. After Megiddo's repeated failures however, Aton's niece Princess Chimera arrives at the Grand Gizmo and Aton permits her to assist in the invasion.
After the Jashinka's continued defeats against the Dynaman, the Emperor arranges for the revival of General Zenobia; a general of the Empire who previously plotted against Aton in the past and been punished by being sealed in the Millennium Cave. Following her revival, Zenobia quickly regains Aton's trust and demonstrates her power by taking on the five Dynamen in battle. After a scheme of Zenobia's is thwarted due in part to Megiddo's own incompetence, the Emperor, tired of his son's failures, has all of Megiddo's tails cut off and sends him to the Millennium Cave as punishment for his repeated failures to defeat the Dynaman.
Some time after Zenobia's return, a new foe to both the Dynamen and the Jashinka Empire appears known only as the Dark Knight. The Dark Knight breaks into the Grand Gizmo and steals Aton's Emperor Sword before giving it to Kousaku Nangou in order to pit the Dynamen and the Jashinka against each other. In response to this, Aton curses Nangou to have his power drained by the sword and to never be able to let go of it until it tastes human blood. Nangou soon begins to be driven mad by the blade, seeing innocent civilians as Tail Soldiers he needs to cut down but he is freed from the sword's influence after Hokuto Dan lets himself be cut with it, allowing Nangou to let go of the blade. Soon after, Zenobia recovers it and hands it to Aton.
When General Kar discovers the existence of the Retro Genes after they mix with the poison gas he is planning to use on humans, Aton instructs Kar to obtain as many Retro Genes as possible so they can be used to give him a tenth tail, which he believes will make him powerful to the point where he can conquer Earth singlehandedly. Aton sends his forces to track down Dr. Tooyama, the geneticist who originally invented the Retro Genes. Both the Tailed-People Clan and the Dynamen soon discover that Tooyama is the original identity of Dr. Yumeno, mentor to the Dynamen, and that Yumeno is collecting all the Retro Genes in order to destroy them. After his lover was killed 15 years ago by the Jashinka when they targeted him for the Retro Genes, Tooyama had attempted to dispose of his creation in Mt. Ootoki, but the genes mixed with the Magma pool that Kar had used to create his poison gas. A group of Tail Soldiers led by Chimera attack the Dynaman to obtain the container that held Retro Genes, but the Dynamen trick the Evolution Beast Computer Dragon into taking the container before destroying them both with their finishing move.
Though the container is destroyed, the Jashinka still seek to target Yumeno so they can force him to make more Retro Genes. Another wrench is thrown into this plan however when Zenobia teams up with the Dark Knight and betrays Aton in order to steal the Retro Genes and obtain 10 tails herself. After Zenobia and the Dark Knight kidnap Yumeno and hypnotize him into making more Retro Genes, Aton soon tracks down Zenobia and goes to stop her. He is stopped by the mysterious Dark Knight, who challenges him to a one-on-one duel while Zenobia uses a special chamber the Dark Knight had created to embed Retro Genes on herself. During the fight, the two are an even match until Aton gains the upper-hand which results in the Dark Knight mortally wounding the Emperor by throwing his sword into Aton's stomach. Collapsing, the dying Emperor Aton watches as the machine emerges and Zenobia obtains ten tails. However, the machine turns out to be a trap by the Dark Knight that causes Zenobia to wither away and perish. The Dark Knight is then revealed to be Megiddo and declares that he sought to prove that tails are meaningless and that you can be powerful without them. In his last moments, an impressed Aton appoints Megiddo as his heir and announces that Megiddo and Chimera are the new co-rulers of the Jashinka Empire with the hope they can peacefully coexist with humanity. Wishing them well, he collapses and explodes.

Emperor Aton is a ruthless, tyrannical, oppressive and remorseless warlord, who wants to conquer and take over the Surface World and wipe out humanity. Aton believes his race of Tailed-People are far superior than humans and is also delusional. Aton's most prominent traits are his extreme ruthlessness, delusions, arrogance and cunning. He is extremely delusional because he views humans as paltry and insignificant creatures and he hates Dynamen for always ruining and foiling hos plans. Aton is also extremely abusive and hot-tempered and treated abusively and cruelly not only his enemies, but even his own allies. He was an extremely abusive and vicious even towards his own subordinates it was rare that he rewards, praises or congratulates them, making him a hypocritical and ungrateful tyrant and dictator. Overall, Aton is the ruthless, xenophobic, racist, devious and cunning yet delusional and prideful tyrant, who will stop at nothing to destroy the Biomen and help his race take over the Surface Realm.
Aton is nearly purely and irredeemably evil as he lacks almost any redeeming qualities and there is almost nothing that can mitigate him and serve as the good side of him. He lacks any honour, respect or mercy towards his enemies and often resorts to cheating in order to win. He does not respect the Dynamen in any way and, arguably, the only things that mitigate Aton are his undying love and attachment towards his own family. While he is abusive towards Megiddo, Aton still views his son as his heir and legacy and it can be interpreted that he loves him in some way, although it' i still debatable if he views his son as a person or merely a tool. Aton also has some attachment towards his niece Chimera although the only time Aton is shown sympathetically is when he accepts his death and appoints his son and niece as the new rulers of the Jashinka Empire.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Power: Emperor Aton is the most powerful and dangerous enemy the Dynamen ever faced since he was the ruler of the Jashinka Empire and the leader of all primary villains of the season. He possessed multiple supernatural powers and abilities, due to his nine magical tails and surpasses in strength and abilities any of his underlings. Having been born with 9 tails, the most among Jashinka, Aton possesses mystical abilities and powers greater than all those within his empire, allowing for him to hold supreme command over his forces.
- Durability: Aton withstood many hits from the Dark Knight's sword until he ended up impaled on his own weapon.
- Stamina: Aton possesses supernatural stamina and can hold himself in battle for many hours without tiring.
- Expert Fighter: Aton is a highly skilled fighter, the most powerful warrior the Jashinka Empire could offer and was shown to be able to evenly match the Dark Knight in battle.
- Genius Strategist: Aton is an extremely skilled tactician and strategist and was able to create cunning plans and schemes in order to outsmart his enemies and achieve his goals and desires.
- Aton Beam: Aton can fire a laser-like blast from his large eye.
Arsenal[]
- Emperor Sword: Aton's signature weapon which is the most powerful sword of the Jashinka Empire that can crush enemies even when not being used by him. He passed the sword down to his son Megiddo after the Prince becomes the new emperor of the Jashinka.
- Theft Control: Anyone who tried to use the sword other than Aton himself can be controlled by the Emperor from a distance, manipulated by the sword's will and even having their power drained from holding the weapon.

- In the USA Night Flight Parody dub, Aton was renamed as Bernie Tanaka and, instead of being an emperor, he was depicted as an entertainment agent or producer with a stereotypical Jewish personality. Most of his plans involved tormenting the citizens of "Dynatown" for the sake of a badly conceived stage production or film, such as, "The Lizards of Oz". In the parody, he is portrayed as having a stereotypical Jewish personality.
