~ Emperor Dread Naught obtaining the I of Harmony. |
Emperor Dread Nought is the secondary antagonist of the Rick and Morty episode "Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie." He is the tyrannical emperor of a race of aliens known as the Numbericons who seeks to destroy the Alphabetrian race.
History[]
Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie[]
On the same day that Water-T returned to the Alphabetrian home world, Dread Nought's forces attempted to invade. They managed to get one ship through, but their army was stopped when Water-T activated the planet's bracket shields. Dread Nought then had his daughter and general, Sinistar-7, fly to Earth and steal the I of Harmony from Water-T, though she failed and was promptly electrocuted. He then sent her back on her mission.
Emperor Dreadnaught received information from his double agent, 8, that Water-T was heading to E-10. Thus, the emperor set his ship on course for the planet. After capturing Water-T and his allies, Dread Nought was given the I of Harmony by Sinistar-7. He attempted to harness it, but he was betrayed by 8, who took the power infinite power for himself. Dread Nought was then disintegrated by his former minion.
Appearance[]
Like all of the Numbericons, Dread Nought resembles a giant number; in his case, he looks like a zero. He has piercing green eyes, a skeleton-like nose, three teeth, and two prominent horns. He has an orange bolt of lightning going through his body, representing the dash some zeros have, and he appears to be made of a grey, rocky material. For attire, he wears two spiky metal shoulder pads resembling skulls. Attacked to these shoulder pads is a formal red cape.
Personality[]
Emperor Dread Nought is very cold and heartless. He doesn't seem to care about his soldiers at all, only being concerned with his lust for power. He doesn't even care about his own daughhter, as he tortured her when she failed him. Despite not seeming to care about any member of his species besides himself, he has a great amount of pride in being a Numbericon and sees the power granted by the I of Harmony as a Numbericon right. He is also egotistical to some extent, as he said that all of his numbers had to watch him as he harnessed the I.
Trivia[]
- He is believed to be inspired by Emperor Palpatine from Lucasfilm's famous Star Wars franchise.
