“ | Today, I'd like to speak to you not as your emperor but as a human being. Since long ago, we've been protected by magic. Whenever natural disasters or plagues occurred, we depended on witches, expressed our gratitude for them, revered them, and feared them... Due to their power exceeding human knowledge known as magic. Don't you think that's just unjust? Are we weaklings who must bow to the whims of witches and begs for their assistance? Are we not allowed to live with our own dignity? Absurd! Behold! Our countless airships fly through the sky, and our metropolis fears no storm. The automatic trains driving through our cities will open up new frontiers. We are not weak. Even without strange and occult magics, we can mold the natural world and control it with our own strength. My people, now is the time to eradicate witches and show the world that we are its supreme rulers. Let us extol ourselves, humanity! | „ |
