Despite his lack of confidence in Ventress's abilities, the Dark Lord ultimately authorized the Count to proceed with the plan.

On Coruscant, Chancellor Palpatine and his staff review a holographic message from Hondo Ohnaka.

The pirate Hondo demands a million credits worth of spice from the Republic in exchange for Dooku.

Palpatine was reluctant to believe Dooku had been captured by a group of simple pirates, despite being shown holographic proof.

Padmé Amidala suggested sending a pair of Jedi to Ohnaka's base in order to confirm the pirate's claim and once assured Dooku was indeed captured, the Republic would pay the demanded ransom for the Separatist leader.

After confirming the pirates had indeed captured Dooku, the Jedi informed Mace Windu and Palpatine.

Palpatine told them that he was sending Senator Kharrus and Representative Binks with the ransom in exchange for the Sith Lord.

Senator Kharrus contacted Palpatine, who was in his office on Coruscant with Senator Amidala and several Jedi Council members, and informed him that they were due to land shortly.

Chancellor Palpatine sent the requested ransom with senator Kharrus of Malastare and representative Binks, who were accompanied by a team of clone troopers.

In a holographic conference aboard Windu's lead AT-TE in his column, Palpatine and representatives from both the Senate and Jedi discuss the battle on Ryloth.

Mace mentions that Obi-Wan has taken the Jixuan desert, and that the southern hemisphere of Ryloth is secure; the only thing that remains is to retake Lessu.

Chancellor Palpatine worries that a siege could drag on indefinitely.

Palpatine states that Syndulla was a radical before the war and can be very unpredictable.

Senator Taa mentions to the Chancellor that before the War, they were political rivals, and still are.

Palpatine requests reinforcements to be sent instead, but Admiral Yularen informs him that none are available.

Sidious tasks Bane to steal a holocron from the Temple.

Bane was at first reluctant, but Sidious suggested that Bane's legendary reputation may have been exaggerated.

Bane demanded an elite starfighter and three times his usual price and Sidious not concerned with the hunter's heightened request.

Sidious also provided Bane with detailed schematics of the Temple's security infrastructure.

Contacting Sidious through a holographic transmission, Bane reported his success and inquired about the details of his next assignment.

Darth Sidious revealed that the purpose of stealing the crystal and holocron was that he needed test subjects for an experiment.

Sidious instructed Bane to use the list and acquire four children who were strong in the Force.

Sidious told Bane to bring the children to the Dark Lord's secret facility on Mustafar.

Lord Sidious tells Bane that the children among the Jedi are not innocent.

Bane considers it rash to kidnap innocents, but doesn't care, as long as he gets paid by Sidious.

At the Chancellor Office on Coruscant, Anakin is greeted warmly by Palpatine.

Palpatine gives Ahsoka Tano a stern look.

The Chancellor insisted on speaking with Skywalker alone while Tano waited outside of the office.

Palpatine seemed impressed that a rogue operative could be so effective against the Jedi.

Anakin suspected that a far more powerful individual than either Bane or Count Dooku was orchestrating the abduction and Palpatine asks Skywalker who he thinks is behind it, and he answers that he doesn't know.

Chancellor Palpatine merely encouraged Skywalker to have patience.

Darth Sidious observed the two captured children on Mustafar via hologram with great enthusiasm.

Believing that the Jedi would simply waste the infants' talents, Sidious took it upon himself to mold them into agents of the dark side.

While Separatist forces tried to take control of Malastare, Palpatine monitored the military action remotely via hologram.

The Battle on Malastare was also a convenient test site for the Chancellor's new weapon, an electro-proton bomb, developed by Dr. Boll.

Mace Windu remained wary of the "improbable" and wished to find another way, but Palpatine disagreed.

Palpatine insisted the bomb is the last chance to secure a Republic victory.

Due to the effects of the bomb, Palpatine's holographic communication with Malastare was cut off.

Mace re-establishes communications with Chancellor Palpatine and reports on his progress.

The Chancellor was most concerned that the Dugs sign a treaty ensuring access to their fuel.

Palpatine states importance that the Republic gains access to the Malastarian fuel.

Palpatine and Doctor Sionver Boll overlook a hologram of the Zillo Beast.

Palpatine was amazed by the creature's size but dismayed by Master Windu's reluctance to assist the Dugs.

Chancellor Palpatine wanted the treaty signed so at first he did not care for the beast.

Palpatine showed that he supports the extermination of the Zillo Beast.

The ever-analytical Doctor Boll suggested that the Zillo Beast may be an invaluable resource.

Chancellor Palpatine delightedly supported the idea to preserve it for replicating its seemingly impenetrable armor for military use.

With Dr. Boll's assurance that the study of the Zillo Beast could greatly aid the Republic war effort, the Chancellor sanctioned Skywalker's plan to incapacitate the creature.

The Dugs would assume it is dead and sign the treaty, while the Republic could move it to a secure location and Palpatine approved it.

The Chancellor watches as Urus signs the treaty.

Chancellor Palpatine welcomes the Dugs and Malastare to the Republic.

Mace Windu and Anakin tell Palpatine that the Zillo Beast was loaded on a transport.

Palpatine and his scientific advisors altered the original plans.

Palpatine's advisors recommend studying the creature under the most controlled conditions.

With that recommendation, Palpatine instructed the Jedi to return to Coruscant with the Zillo Beast for study.

The Supreme Chancellor oversaw the Zillo Beast's transportation to Coruscant.

Palpatine personally greeted the Dr. Boll and the Jedi as they returned with the sedated creature in tow.

Palpatine is awed by the size of the Zillo Beast.

Although Windu once again voiced his concern and objection, but Palpatine insists it is a chance to uncover a technological edge.

Mace turns over stewardship of the creature to Doctor Boll and Palpatine.

Palpatine smiles deviously as the Zillo Beast passes him.

Chancellor Palpatine visits the doctor, checking on her progress.

Dr. Boll reported to Chancellor Palpatine that the preliminary testing was slow and lacked results due to the severe pain that the Zillo Beast would endure under experimentation.

Palpatine suggests that killing it would be the best option but Boll protests, stating that the Zillo Beast isn't only the last of its kind.

Unconcerned with its well-being, the Chancellor merely ordered the doctor to kill the creature to continue her study without further complications.

Palpatine dismisses the possibility, stating that the giant beast is simply an animal; the beast growls at his comment and stares hatefully at the Chancellor.

Palpatine orders the use of the Malastarian fuel to be used as a poison to quickly kill the beast and threatens to replace Boll if she doesn't have the stomach to do it.

The Chancellor meets Anakin and Padmé in his office.

Palpatine indulged the senator's concerns by debating the merit and pitfalls of destroying the beast.

Palpatine and Mas Amedda try justifying that killing the beast is for the greater good, to which Padmé challenges that killing the last of a species is wrong.

Palpatine justified his actions to Senator Amidala, who believed that it was immoral to kill the creature.

Chancellor Palpatine argued that the life of one animal was a small price to pay if the rewards saved countless lives in the long run.

The Chancellor was also clearly pleased to see that Skywalker shared his opinion on the matter, much to the surprise and annoyance of Amidala.

Palpatine contacts Doctor Boll, who reports success in converting the Malastarian fuel into a poison gas.

The Chancellor orders the Zillo Beast gassed.

Doctor Boll contacts Palpatine informing him of the Zillo Beast's escape.

The Zillo Beast escapes the confines of the research facility and embarking on a second rampage, with Palpatine as the primary target.

Palpatine frantically tells Doctor Boll to make more poison.

The Zillo Beast destroyed every image of Palpatine it could find and marched steadily onward toward the Senate Building.

Palpatine, Anakin and Senator Amidala see the creature coming towards them.

The creature charges the Senate Building with its enormous head fills the panoramic window of the Chancellor's office.

The Chancellor, Padmé, Anakin and R2-D2 evacuate to the former's escape shuttle.

Out of desperation, the Chancellor contacted Boll and ordered her to create more of the gas.

Just as they took off, however, the shuttle was caught in the beast's grip.

Palpatine and his pilot were still trapped by the beast until Yoda and Aayla Secura provided a sufficient distraction to allow the Chancellor to escape from his damaged shuttle.

The Zillo Beast, loose on Coruscant, spots Palpatine and a Senate Commando below his escape shuttle's pilot.

The creature pursued its target, Palpatine ordered the gunships to use the gas bombs.

As the gunships continue to bomb the beast, the gas cloud begins to spread, though Anakin, Yoda and Aayla use the Force to protect themselves, Palpatine and Amidala from the gas.

After the Zillo Beast's death, Chancellor Palpatine vows that the creature's sacrifice not be in vain.

Palpatine presented Dr. Boll with a new order to clone the Zillo Beast for further scientific purposes.

Palpatine smiles evilly as he has future plans for the cloned beast.

In the war room, Obi-wan, Anakin, Ahsoka and Ki-Adi-Mundi, join via hologram by Yoda, Mace Windu, Palpatine and Luminara Unduli.

The Jedi plan their invasion of Geonosis while Palaptine and Yoda listen.

Chancellor Palpatine shares his concerns about the ray shield fortress.

Palpatine expresses concern over committing a huge force for this attack, but Yoda assures him that capturing Poggle is a priority.

Palpatine then places his trust in the Jedi about the coming battle.

The Chancellor and Jedi then wish them luck and signed off.

To back his argument for occupation, the Chancellor presents a hologram message from Deputy Minister Jerec who states a civil war is amidst the Mandalorians.

The hologram effectively discredited Kryze's entire argument, thus securing an early victory for Palpatine's position of Republic occupation on Mandalore.

The holo-recording of Jerec states the Death Watch threat is greater than the Duchess states and Mandalore will require Republic aid.

Knowing something is not right with the recording she just witnessed, Satine requests to see Jerec at once, but Palpatine states he was killed in a Death Watch bombing on Kalevala.

Palpatine states this as an even greater reason to defend Mandalore, yet Satine refutes the idea of a Republic occupation, fearing it will bring the war to them.

Announcing the vote on military action will take place next session, Chancellor Palpatine dismisses the Senate.

At night, in the Chancellor's office, Satine attempts to convince Palpatine that the malfunction was not an accident but her speeder had been tampered with.

Despite asserting that someone was trying to assassinate her, the Chancellor refused to conduct an investigation due to the lack of evidence to support her claim.

Aboard a Munificent-class star frigate Dooku informs his master Sidious that Death Watch is ready to fight off the Republic forces.

Darth Sidious expresses concern about possible interference by the Duchess Satine, but is assured by Dooku that a Death Watch assassin will take care of her causing Sidious to grin.

Chancellor Palpatine scans the Great Convocation Chamber for any objections to Mandalore's occupation.

Senator Amidala speaks up and Palpatine says the Chair recognizes her.

Padmé then displayed the full recording of Deputy Minister Jerec, while Palpatine angrily glared at Mas Amedda.

Palpatine quickly grimaces as he watches the recording, then returns his expression to a smile.

The recording explains that Mandalorian government has been preparing for any possible confrontation with Death Watch and the reason why they cannot ask for Republic support with the situation being so fragile.

Palpatine and Mas Amedda stand as the footage proved that Jerec had in fact supported Mandalore's neutrality and Duchess Kryze.

In his office, Palpatine offers his apologies and gratitude to Satine for the recent series of events and praised her for her loyalty to the Republic.

Padmé asks for the Chancellor and Vice Chair Mas Amedda to join her in carrying out the Senate's recent decision.

Chancellor Palpatine and Amedda presided over congressional sessions focused on the Trade Federation's blockade of Pantora, wherein Senator Riyo Chuchi argued before the Senate that the Federation was working in league with the Confederacy.

Palpatine and Amedda were again present when, days later, Dod was forced to apologize to Chuchi when it came to light that the blockade was indeed a scheme orchestrated by Viceroy Gunray.

As part of his speech, Palpatine initiated the Festival of Light's fireworks show, which showcased the scout Kwilaan's discovery of Naboo to Theed's original development as a farming community.

While Palpatine gave his speech, Derrown compromised the stage's shield generator, triggering an explosion that injured Palpatine.

Amidst the resulting confusion, the kidnappers make Palpatine look like a fallen Senate Guard by placing a holographic disguise matrix emitter on his unconscious body.

Meanwhile, Twazzi used the disguise matrix and switched bodies with the Chancellor whom Bane later grabbed.

Twazzi, as Palpatine, started throwing punches at Anakin who became furious and sliced off the imposter's arm.

Cad Bane placed Palpatine's unconscious body into the back of a Moralo Eval's speeder and escaped flying away from Theed.

Bane and Eval then took the Chancellor at gunpoint to the rendezvous point to meet up with Dooku.

When Obi-Wan arrives, he claims custody of the Chancellor at gunpoint, triggering a vicious fight against Bane.

Kenobi overpowered Bane and Republic forces, led by Windu and Skywalker arrived.

The next morning, Neeyutnee, Amidala, and their staff went to the Republic's staging area to personally thank the Jedi for saving Palpatine.

After his rescue, Palpatine dismissed most of the military units that had accompanied him to Naboo since the plot had apparently been foiled.

In the Theed Palace, Anakin and Chancellor Palpatine talk and stroll through the darkened corridors.

Palpatine broached the subject of the council's scheme with Anakin, commenting that the brilliant plan had to have been Anakin's idea, still bitter stated that he had been kept completely in the dark.

Instead of a banquet however, they instead came face to face with Dooku himself, flanked by two MagnaGuards.

Anakin engaged the MagnaGuards, quickly and brutally destroying them both before instructing Palpatine to flee.

When Palpatine tries to run away, a third MagnaGuard intercepts him and holds him in place.

As Anakin pressed his attack, Palpatine risked displaying a satisfied smirk at the power of his apprentice-to-be, though neither Dooku nor Anakin spotted it.

As the duelists began to ascend a flight of stairs, Anakin kicked Dooku in the abdomen, knocking him to the ground.

Holding off Dooku's lightsaber with his own, he began to throttle Dooku, drawing another delighted grin from Palpatine.

With Anakin momentarily stunned, Dooku and the MagnaGuard that held Palpatine retreated.

The two Jedi caught up with Dooku just as he boarded his ship with Palpatine.

As Anakin re-engaged Dooku, Kenobi quickly dealt with the remaining MagnaGuard before retrieving Palpatine.

After Palpatine's rescued, Dooku is forced to throw Anakin off his ship, ending the duel leaving empty-handed and escaping in his shuttle.

Chancellor Palpatine thanks the Jedi as Senator Padmé Amidala arrived with a squad of Naboo guards.

While Palpatine thanks the Jedi for their timely rescue, he makes an expression of mock concern about what the galaxy would become if the Jedi were no more.

As the Jedi leave the office, Palpatine smirks whilst seated at his desk behind them.

On Coruscant, in the executive offices of the Supreme Chancellor, Palpatine senses a disturbance in the Force.

Flanked by his red-robed guards, Palpatine held the trial in the massive Court Chamber of the Republic Center for Military Operations.

Palpatine, as judge of the court, spoke first, relaying the charges against Tano and stating that the court would decide her fate.

Chancellor Palpatine then told Tarkin to begin his arguments.

The Chancellor watches as Padmé makes an impassioned plea in Ahsoka's defense.

Palpatine seated as Tarkin was unimpressed and pointed out that Tano had been seen in the company of Asajj Ventress, a known Separatist terrorist.

Eventually, the closing arguments settled and Palpatine told the jury he was sure that many of them did not believe Tano was the culprit.

Palpatine asks the jury to keep in mind that as harmless as Ahsoka may appear, great harm has been done.

Palpatine continues by stating the Separatists are so treacherous that nothing is as it seems.

The Chancellor reminded them of all the times they had been fooled by the Separatists and suggested that Tano was yet another scheme to rip the Jedi and the Republic apart.

In the court room, Senator Mot-Not Rab announced that the jury had reached a decision, Mas Amedda handed the verdict to the Chancellor.

As he prepared to deliver the verdict, Skywalker interrupted with Barriss Offee, who confessed to the crime.

Palpatine listened as Skywalker demanded that Barriss tell the full truth.

Offee admitted she did it because she had come to believe the Jedi were the ones responsible for the war, and that they were the real villains of the conflict and the Republic had lost their way.

Chancellor Palpatine then ordered that Barriss Offee be taken away.

Dooku immediately reports a clone malfunction to his master Sidious.

Palpatine suggests instead he be brought to the state-of-the-art Grand Republic Medical Facility.

The Chancellor, on the other-hand, overrules the Jedi's suggestion.

Nala Se concurs, and Shaak Ti, with some hesitance, agrees with Palpatine.

With Nala Se backing the Chancellor's decision, Shaak Ti has no choice but to agree and ends the holographic transmission.

Obi-Wan and Anakin find Palpatine bound to a chair on the bridge.

With Palpatine, as Sidious goading him on and said do it, he gave into his hatred and beheaded Dooku.

Palpatine tell Anakin he did the right thing killing Dooku and that he was too dangerous to be kept alive

Skywalker uses the Force to free the Chancellor from his binds and was conflicted on his actions.

But was comforted by Palpatine, who told him that it was a simple act of revenge and that it wasn't the first time reminding Anakin about what he told him about his mother and the Sand People.

Palpatine tells Anakin to leave Obi-Wan or they won't escape the ship.

Anakin carries Obi-Wan's unconscious form as he and Chancellor Palpatine attempt to escape the cruiser.

As the ship titled, Anakin and Palpatine proceed to enter the elevator corridor.

With the ship on its side, the three began running down an elevator shaft.

Palpatine shows remarkable strength and dexterity by negotiating a precarious elevator shaft.

The trio managed to get out and to a hallway, where they were then captured in a ray shield.

The Jedi and Chancellor are caught in a containing ray shield and surrounded by battle droids.

Palpatine sits next to R2-D2 as Anakin pilots the doomed cruiser.

The damaged cruiser begins plummeting through the atmosphere.

The ship then became caught in Coruscant's gravity well and began barreling towards the surface with Skywalker and Kenobi attempted to land it, but only managed to ease the crash.

Palpatine braces as the Invisible Hand crashes on Coruscant.

Following the crash, Palpatine and the Jedi were escorted to the Senate Building.

Palpatine with members of the Senate is greeted by Mace Windu.

Palpatine tells Master Windu that Obi-Wan and Anakin managed to kill Count Dooku but General Grievous had escaped again.

Palpatine insisted that with Dooku dead, Grievous is the leader of the droid army and that the war would still carry on as long as he's alive

General Grievous contacts Darth Sidious.

The General is contacted by Darth Sidious through hologram.

Sidious tells Grievous to move the Separatist leaders to Mustafar.

Lord Sidious informed him that Dooku's loss was necessary and soon he would have a new apprentice who was both "far younger and more powerful."

Chancellor Palpatine requests Anakin's presence, and they meet in the Chancellor's Office.

Palpatine asks Anakin if he can trust him.

Palpatine confides in Anakin his fear, distrust, and contempt of the Jedi Masters.

The Chancellor tells Anakin he's depending on him to be the eyes, ears and voice of the Republic.

Palpatine appoints Anakin to be his personal Representative on the Jedi Council.

Skywalker believed the Jedi Masters would never accept this decision, but Palpatine says they need him.

At the Galaxies Opera House, Skywalker joined Palpatine in watching the Mon Calamari Aquatic Ballet performing Squid Lake.

Anakin visits the Chancellor at the opera.

Anakin reports progress in the war to Chancellor Palpatine who invites Skywalker to join him in the opera box.

During the performance the Chancellor began to stir Skywalker's distrust in the Jedi Council.

Palpatine and Skywalker discussed the situation about the council.

Palpatine revealed to know that the Council wanted Skywalker to spy on him.

Sidious sits with Anakin during an opera show.

Palpatine tells Anakin the story of the "Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise."

Palpatine tempted the Jedi with knowledge of the dark side to stop death.

Anakin asks what happened to Darth Plagueis, Palpatine concludes that Plagueis became so powerful that all he feared was losing his power which he eventually did.

Palpatine notes the irony of how Plagueis could keep others from dying, but not himself.

Sidious smiling as he slowly lures Anakin into the dark side of the Force via manipulating his emotions.

Chancellor Palpatine meets with the Delegation of 2,000 members in his office (deleted scene).

Palpatine tells the senators that the appointments of governors will not interfere with the Senate.

The Delegation presents the petition to Palpatine and Anakin, who is acting as his personal bodyguard.

Sidious prepares to engage his would be Jedi captors in a fight in his main office with his lightsaber ready to murder Kolar and Tiin simultaneously.

Agen Kolar was impaled by Palpatine through the abdomen and fell with a scream.

Saesee Tiin attempted to strike the Dark Lord from behind as Kolar fell, but was cut down as Sidious swung around to slash him across the torso.

Kit Fisto managed to fend off Sidious's initial strikes, but he was cut down mere seconds after the fall of his two compatriots.

His entire strike force dead, Windu was left alone to contend with might of the Dark Lord.

Rey then attempted to block it with Leia's lightsaber, but Darth Sidious told Rey that he cannot be stopped as she was just a scavenger girl.

Declaring himself as all of the Sith, Darth Sidious redoubled the intensity of his Force lightning to kill Rey.

Rey called on the power of the Jedi of the past, ignited Anakin's lightsaber as well as Organa's, and deflected the Force lightning back while declaring herself as all of the Jedi embodied.

Rey called back the Skywalker lightsaber and igniting it, using the two lightsabers to deflect Darth Sidious’ lightning back at him.

The Emperor struggled to hold onto his attack against Rey.

Rey grew closer with the lightning and managed to force it back on Darth Sidious.

Drawing strength from the Jedi of old, Rey withstood Darth Sidious' powers long enough to vanquish him.

Rey deflected the lightning back towards him using the two lightsabers, disintegrating his body and killing Darth Sidious once and for all.

Darth Sidious was destroyed by his own power, utterly vaporizing his entire body.

Rey was able to deflect it back to Darth Sidious using both Luke and Leia's lightsabers, vaporizing the evil Emperor and destroying him.

Unable to take the strain of the immense energy reflected back at him, Darth Sidious screamed in agony and horror as he was disintegrated under his own energy.

Darth Sidious exploded releasing a great force wave that decimated the entire arena along with killing all of the Sith Eternal loyalists and himself.
