Emperor Sheev Piglatine, also known as Darth Swindle, is the main antagonist of the Angry Birds Star Wars and its prequel Angry Birds Star Wars II, the Angry Birds parody of the Star Wars original and prequel trilogies of the Skywalker Saga.
In the Join the Pork Side promo, he was voiced by the real Palpatine's actor, Ian McDiarmid.
Biography[]
Angry Birds Star Wars[]
Emperor Piglatine is behind the evil pigs of the Empire. He was later revealed in the final chapter, Death Star II and he also appeared as the final boss in the level of the game. In that level, he shoots lightning to anything thrown to him. After the birds have almost defeated him, Darth Vader does the final strike and defeated him. In the cutscene, Darth Vader sacrificed himself to save his son, Luke Skywalker and to defeat Emperor Palpatine.
Angry Birds Star Wars II[]
Emperor Palpatine is a playable character and major antagonist in the prequel, Angry Birds Star Wars II, where it shows his rise to power, as well as him being a playable character via the Pork Side. His ability is to shoot Force lightning, which can be conducted through iron blocks. He also appears as the icon of the Pork Side when the player is deciding which side of a chapter to start on.
Palpatine plots with Jango Fatt briefly in Naboo Invasion's Pork Side to invade the planet of Naboo. After Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan fight through droids on the ship and eventually end up on the planet, Palpatine wildly releases the Battle Droids and begins the invasion. The two Jedi are nearly run over by a tank operated by droids, but Yoda saves them. After the Jedi trio rescue Padme, Panaka and Jar Jar from another tank, they crash-land on Tatooine. Palpatine, witnessing the Jedi's ship, sends his apprentices Darth Moar and Count Dodo to kill them, but they fail. He is not explicitly seen again until Revenge of the Pork, in which he is now Supreme Chancellor and poses as a bird. He lures Redkin to the Dark Side and kills Mace Windu, just like how the actual Palpatine did in the actual Star Wars series.
Appearance[]
Emperor Palpatine appeared as King Pig, based on the crown he is wearing. Since he has a black hood, his crown and ears are covered. He also has green skin, but whitened and wrinkled. As the Supreme Chancellor, he wears a fake beak to convince the Jedi he is a bird.
Personality[]
Emperor Palpatine is a quiet and scheming mastermind who plots every move and forces other Sith pigs to do his bidding. He is extremely sadistic, as the final cutscenes of the Pork Side of Naboo Invasion and Revenge of the Pork show him reveling in the pain he has caused. He enjoys the suffering the invasion of Naboo causes and is gleeful when Vader is formed.
