Thirsty for power and pride, he was afraid to leave his post when he had to die of old age; so his greatest desire was to achieve eternal life and conquer more distant lands to expand his empire. As a knowledgest of some mystical arts, he had made some stone soldiers who would wake up with a spell that he had elaborated and use them as troops to devastate their opponents.
Before putting the plan of conquest into motion, the emperor entrusted his daughter to bring him a flower whose steam gave eternal life. Hours later, the emperor's daughter had found the flower, however; being the first to inhale the flower would drive her mad and the rest of the steam would be a deadly poison for others. Back at the palace, the princess gave the flower to her father and received it, dying of poison from inhaling its steam.
