Empty Void (のヴォイド, Kokū no Voido), also referred as "That Man" or The Great One is a major antagonist in the action manga and webcomic series One-Punch Man. He is the leader and founder of the mysterious Ninja Village, where the S-Rank hero Flashy Flash and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic used to train.
He is also a former partner of the renowned Rank 1 S-Rank hero Blast of the Hero Association while he was seeking the locations of the mysterious cubes and eventually transformed into a monster in present days after his recovery is finished.
Appearance[]
As a human, Void was a blond man with a muscular build, tied long hair, and sharp eyes. His forehead also has a notable V-mark. He had glasses and a scarf around his neck. The rest of his body wears futuristic muscular armor. His weapons are equipped on his back which are round-guarded katanas. Around his waist, he also has several pockets.
In present day as a mysterious being, Empty Void remains in the same outfits. However, his facial appearance has greatly shifted to a ghastly zombie-like expression covered with blood like his hair and shoulders.
Personality[]
Not much is known about the former Void, except that it is speculated he used to be a great-natured person prior to his monsterization.
As a monster, Void is a senseless, murderous, but sly man with an immense sense of pleasure to take the lives of his assassination targets throughout his lifetime that lasted over 300 years so far.
Despite his longevity and formidable abilities, Void's arrogance is evident in his decision to challenge the top S-Class hero, Blast, to a confrontation. This audacious move results in his defeat and subsequent coma, lasting for a significant 15 years. This defeat serves as a testament to the prowess of the hero and underscores the consequences of Void's overconfidence. Void exhibits no empathy nor concern for his former comrades who align themselves with him. Rather than intervening or expressing any remorse during the massacre orchestrated by other characters within the narrative, he merely observes from a distance, indicating a detachment from the well-being of his followers.
