Enrique Vera is a supporting antagonist in the eighth season of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
He is a wealthy crime lord and a former business partner of Lito Valmoria who later become his enemy after blaming the latter for his daughter’s death due to a failed transaction. He was also a client of Atty. Mante, who failed to clear his crimes thanks to Atty. Mante’s principles.
He is played by Simon Ibarra.
Background[]
He is known to be one of the wealthiest businessman in Batangas, alongside with his business partner and apprentice Lito Valmoria. However, he ends their partnership with Lito, after blaming him for causing his daughter Lara’s death due to a failed transaction with some foreign drug lords. With his vengeance, he terrorized Lito’s mansion and stole his properties alongside with some of his business partners such as Renato Hipolito and Jacob Serrano.
He also made connections with Atty. Fernando Mante to clear his crimes, however the latter refused to clear his crimes. With Atty. Mante’s refusal to clear his crimes, this caused him blackmailed Atty. Mante several times. He retaliates to Atty. Mante and his family by abducting his daughter Audrey and slashing her hand which he gave it as a gift to the Mante family indicating that he is threatening them for vengeance.
Later on, Capt. Lia Mante with her father and Task Force Agila have traced him on one of his hideouts having a transaction. Upon Task Force Agila have raided his hideout, this caused him to exchange fire with the Task Force Agila. Lia and Cardo eventually managed to cornered him, which made him manipulate Lia in attempt to escape. As Lia was about to handcuff him, he attempted to cut her hand which was stopped by Atty.Mante by slicing off his arm in attempt to avenge Audrey. Slowly dying, he attempts to grab his gun to shoot back the Mantes and Cardo. However, he was ultimately killed by Cardo by shooting him to prevent him retrieving his gun.
Personality[]
For being a wealthy person, he is seen to be manipulative and power-hungry individual as he uses his wealth for heinous means which was seen majority of his parts in the series. It is also shown that he is capable of threatening or sometimes killing anyone that would oppose his plans indicating that he is also tyrannical individual.
He is also shown to be a stoic and emotionless individual which was seen a majority of his scenes such as despite of losing his daughter, he was able to endure the grief over his daughter’s demise, which he proclaims that’s their differences with Fernando Mante in how they feel to loose their daughters.
Trivia[]
- He is one of the known villains in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano to die by slicing off any of their body parts alongside with Armando Silang and Lucio Santanar. Armando dies off by detaching his arms tied through reversing military vehicles and Lucio dies by decapitation.
