Approximately two centuries prior to the film's events, Eon arrived on Earth in a severely weakened state, carrying the ancient artifact known as the Hands of Armageddon, a device capable of tearing open a time rift to summon his dying race for an invasion and conquest of the planet.
Captured and placed in cryogenic suspension by the Plumbers, a secret government organization tasked with protecting the general public from alien threats, Eon eventually escapes in the present day, only to find that his prolonged temporal travels have rendered him frail and unable to activate the Hands on his own, forcing him to resort to using the Omnitrix to transform Ben Tennyson into a younger version of himself and have Ben power up the Hands for him.
He was portrayed by Christien Anholt.
Biography[]
Background[]
Eon is part of an alien race known as the Chronians, whose homeworld, the planet Chronia, was banished out of time as a result of their folly with their powers. After escaping this fate and landing on Earth in the 1800s, he tried to use a device called the Hands of Armageddon to free his people and signal the start of a Chronian invasion Earth. However, he was taken into custody by the original Plumbers and was frozen in a cryogenic cell for 200 years before finally thawing out, after which he went searching for the Hands with the help of warriors from throughout time that he turned into abnormal creatures that would act as his minions.
Race Against Time[]
Eon first attacks the town of Bellwood with energy blasts, prompting a confrontation with Heatblast, who defeats his servants and seemingly stops him. Later, Eon is seen at a clock tower where he scolds his minion's for failing to find the Hands, kills one of them in a fit offrustration after experiencing pain due to his accelerated aging, then asserts his dominance over his remaining minions and vows that nothing will stop him once Ben Tennyson is dead.
After Gwen captures a photo of Eon, Max warns her and Ben of the threat. They consult Constantine Jacobs, a Plumber who once oversaw Eon, but Eon has already broken free and rapidly aged Jacobs to near-death. Jacobs then dies shortly afterward, but not before informing the Tennysons that Eon is after the Hands. Eon later tries to activate the Hands but fails due to his weakened state. He confronts Ben again, disabling the Omnitrix before being stopped by an elderly Plumber.
Eon resurfaces during a school assembly, battling Ben as Diamondhead before teleporting away. Eventually, Ben, Gwen, and Max are kidnapped. Eon reveals the origins of his race, the Hands of Armageddon, the Omnitrix, and the shocking truth that he is a future version of Ben. He transforms Ben into a younger version of himself before vanishing, as two versions cannot exist in the same timeline.
In the final confrontation, time is frozen for everyone except Ben. During the fight, Ben transforms into Wildmutt and defeats Eon by smashing him into the Hands of Armageddon using a frozen Gwen as a weapon.
Appearance[]
Eon starts out looking completely human. But over the course of the movie, as his repeated leaps through time take their toll on his body, his skin gradually becomes paler and paler and his face more and more withered. By the film's climax, his skin in now chalk white and he has developed maroon marks around his
Eon wesrs a black bodysuit with a matching trench coat over it, black gauntlets with purple highlights on them, and a black helmet with a purple-tinted visor. The visor was black when he first appeared, but was colorless throughout the rest of the movie.
Personality[]
Eon feels great love and pride for his species, the Chronians, describing them as "a guilded race of warriors" and even outright calling them (and, by extension, himself) gods on at least three occassions. After his people ruined their once beautiful homeworld in their greed to obtain more power and inadvertently trapped themselves, and the planet, in a timeless dimension, Eon become bent on rescuing his people at any cost, even if it means conquering Earth and enslaving its inhabitants.
Eon is abusive and controlling towards his minions, fatally wounding one of them in a fit of frustration, and then ordering the others to let him die while also threatening to imprison and torture them to put them in line, further specifying he’s already done this to them at least once.
In his desperation to save his race from extinction, Eon is willing to go to just about any lengths to achieve that goal, from murdering Constantine Jacobs by rapidly aging him while escaping from incarnation, to forcibly transforming a 10-year-old boy into a mindless, amnesiac clone of himself under his control and using him as a living battery to power up the the Hands of Armageddon so that his race can invade Earth
Despite this, Eon is shown to be honorable since even though he and his minions repeatedly clash with the Plumbers, he never goes out of his way to harm them. On several occasions, he chooses to spare their lives, imprisoning them instead of killing them. Even when they manage to escape, he refrains from retaliating with lethal force.
After the Hands are deactivated his race is sent back through the time rift to their dying homeworld, where they will likely become extict, Eon becomes vengeful and tries to kill Ben in his rage.
