Ephemural, also called The Neutral, is one of the main antagonists of webcomic Twokinds.
She is one of the three demigods known as The Masks, representing the neutral aspect of the world and being the protector of Keidrans. Her role in the universe put her on the way of Trace Legacy, Flora and Keith Keiser. Ephemural's ultimate plan is the start a war, where she would defeat Chaos for good.
Biography[]
Ephemural appears in the very first chapter, stealing Trace Legacy's memories and putting Flora on his path.
She later creates an illusion of a town and even resurrect Trace's dead wife, Saria au Grahen. Possessing Mary Silverlock, Ephemural approaches Flora and makes a deal with her, which allows her to possess the girl.
Ephemural, wanting to finally start the war, tries to awake Trace's hidden magic, but has to fight with him, Euchre and Edmund Sirus. When Flora awakens, Trace attacks her with a sword and casts her out of the Keidran.
Defeated Ephemural meets with Chaos, who threatens her. Ephemural, seeing another future, uses her powers so Trace can impregnate Flora.
Ephemural later joins the Templar Order and becomes Master Mage. Her motivations are currently unknown.

- Ephemural's name is a reference to the world "ephemeral", meaning "temporary", referencing her status as The Mask of Keidran, who age quicker than humans and Basitins and die faster.
