Eric Baldwin is a minor antagonist in Parasite Eve II. He is the leader of the M.I.S.T. (Mitochondrion Investigation and Suppression Team), a branch of the FBI. He is Aya Brea's superior.
He also works for the mysterious shadow government that No. 9 works for and responsible for the events of the game.
Personality[]
Baldwin is a cold, strict, and calculating demeanor who expects excellence from his agents. But he congratulates them on their missions a well done at the end.
Aya and others were unsure about Baldwin and his background but never bother saying anything. Some of them also respected him and called him "Hal", the name of the supercomputer from 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke due to having the personality of the computer.
Biography[]
Parasite Eve II[]
On September 5, 2000, in Los Angeles, Hal is seen in his office giving orders to Aya and the others on the phone in the game. He requested Aya to go to Dryfield in the Mojave Desert, which she discovers the Neo Ark.
In the secret events and ending, it is revealed that Baldwin is an agent for the shadow organization that built the Neo Ark under the Mojave Desert, whom Aya has been trying to stop through the entire game. Leaking to MIST data, Baldwin was later arrested and sent to prison.
