Ermac is a supporting character in Mortal Kombat 1, serving as a minor antagonist and a more malicious counterpart to the main version of Ermac.
Like his counterpart, he is voiced by Jamieson Price.
Biography[]
Mortal Kombat 1[]
While he resembles his New Era counterpart, this version of Ermac is said to be as an irredeemable variant of the amalgamation, created by Shao Kahn, who originates from Titan Shang Tsung's timeline. Ermac would join the Order of Darkness against Liu Kang's New Era to aid Shang Tsung destroy his New Era.
In Mortal Kombat 1's 13th chapter, Deadly Alliance, he along with Dark Kenshi try to stop the New Era incarnations of Raiden, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi from destroying the portals that the Dragon Army needs to invade the Realms. They use their powers to hold back the destruction of the first portal. The resulting blast knocks their opponents back, and Ermac and Kenshi stride towards them to finish them. However, the sorcerers, enraged at Titan Tsung's betrayal of them, harness their vengeance and kill the Dark Ermac and Kenshi.
Khaos Reigns[]
An alternate Ermac who exists as part of Titan Havik's timeline appears as a minor antagonist of the DLC Khaos Reigns. A member of the Brotherhood of Chaos, along with Baraka and Reptile, chased down resistance leader Lt Col. Johnathan Cage in the Night Market, with Ermac being the one to take him down. As Ermac and Reptile dragged him to face Baraka, Ermac demanded that he reveal the names of the resistance. Frustrated at Cage's continued defiance, Ermac and the others began laying into him, before being interrupted by Sektor, Scorpion and Cyrax. Ermac could be seen facing Cyrax while Sektor freed Cage. After Sektor and Cage defeated Baraka, Ermac blasted Cage out the way and faced them, considering Sektor an agent of order. However, he and Baraka would be defeated by the Lin Kuei and soldier. Afterwards, Ermac joined Reptile in a rematch, but were taken out for good.
Appearance[]
The darker version of Ermac wears mostly black with red patterns or decorations, which is a black and red clothing, he wears a black hood with a red stripe at the end of his hood.

- This version of Ermac is more villainous, malicious and hostile than the other incarnations of him, which are good and neutral incarnations of him due to this variant of Ermac having no redeeming qualities.
- Dark Ermac acts as a Kameo for Dark Kenshi in Mortal Kombat 1's story mode.
- Ermac and Kenshi being paired together may be a reference to their partnership as originally referenced in Deadly Alliance.
