Eru is the secondary antagonist in Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred.
After Urivar stabs The Wanderer and throws him into the river with his sword, Eru finds him and heals him. However, secretly from everyone else make a deal with Mephisto for save Nahantu in exchange for helping him possesing Akarat's body. Thanks for his betrayal Mephisto succeeds in extinguish the spirit of Akarat and possessing his body.
He is voiced by Lou Diamond Phillips.
Personality[]
At first glance, Eru seems to be a kind and helpful man. This is seen when he saves The Wanderer from death at the hands of Urivar.
However, in the tomb of Akarat, Eru reveals his true nature as a treacherous man who cares nothing and no one outside the land of Nahantu and is willing to sacrifice even an entire Sanctuary just to save Nahantu through a deal with Mephisto, regardless of the possible consequences for majority of Sanctuary of this deal.
