Erzsebet Ondrushko is the secondary antagonist of the animated superhero film Hellboy: Blood and Iron. She is the of the high priestess of Hecate, who gives her eternal youth and beauty through vampirism in return for her services.
She was voiced by Kath Soucie, who also voiced Morgana Macawber in Darkwing Duck, The Master in Fallout, Mary Ann Smith and Julie Smith in The Powerpuff Girls, Michelle in Futurama, Jason Hightower in Totally Spies, Shock in the Kingdom Hearts series, Irene Corts in Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Battles, the Lunch Lady Ghost in Danny Phantom, Beverly Jones in All Grown Up!, Madison Wolfsbottom in Clifford's Really Big Movie, Ginger and Taro in The Hiro's, Charlotte the Babysitter in Drawn Together, Nerissa in W.I.T.C.H., Professor Hinkle in The Legend of Frosty the Snowman, Maketh Tua in Star Wars Rebels, Claudette Dupri in New Looney Tunes and Peej in OK K.O.! Biography[]
Becoming a vampire[]
Ondrushko was an enchanting Hungarian Heiress who became obsessed with keeping her physical beauty, so much so she began to murder several hundred young girls so she could bath in their blood in a litany of horrifying ways. Believing that it would keep her spry and vibrant forever. Eventually she would strike a bargain with the goddess of witches, Hecate, agreeing to giving up her soul for becoming her high priestess in exchange for eternal life and vitality. Reborn as an undead she then continued to murder more than a thousand nubile women and bath their in blood for centuries in willing sacrifice to her malevolent patron.
1939[]
In 1939, Ondrushko lived in a Castle near a village in Transylvania, she then murdered five local village girls for their blood, then for her last target she choose a women named Anna, who was recently engaged. Erzsebet then met Anna at a seamstress shop, where she claimed to be filling in for the original owner, Marie, while she is taking care of her sick baby, when in reality she murdered Marie and the infant before the soon to be wed had arrived, saying she'd just came from the opera to explain her outfit before taking said bride-to-be to receive their betrothal gown. When Anna then mentions about how she was afraid to come the shop after all of Ondrushko's hauntings, but was convinced by the local priest, Father Lupescu, she would be safe as long he protects to the village with his church, Erzsebet soon decides to pay a visit Father Lupescu after revealing herself to Anna as a vampire and kidnapping her. The blood countess soon visit The Father at his place of god with mind controlled wolves and reveals to said pastor that she knows he is coming with paranormal scientist Trevor Bruttenholm to slay her; mocking him and his God by telling Lupescu about what her goddess gives her while his does nothing, even in his own house of worship. After Professor Bruttenholm leads a search party which includes the shaken Father Lupescu, Anna's Fiancé, and two police officers, they find Ondrushko had already fed upon Anna, which scares their priest into leaving the immediate premise in a blind panic, when they find her coffin empty. They then notice another of their number missing, to which its revealed she murdered one of the police officers in the group. After the Professor and the others flee Ondrushko summons her wolves who kill Anna's Fiancé, and the other remaining police officer. Soon confronting Bruttenholm himself, who pulls out a flask full of holy water and throws it into Ondrushko's face which scars her. Furious at Bruttenholm for ruining her beauty she attacks him, but the scuffle brings them both outside at sunrise causing the wicked woman to turn to ash.
Present day[]
Erszebet did not die that day in Bruttenholm's past, as her malicious spirit retreated into the Iron Maiden torture device after her body caught fire and was immolated. She was then resuscitated thanks to the ritual made by two harpies. Knocking out Liz only to be confronted by Hellboy after she attacks the now aged Bruttenholm upon recognizing him; but he's soon dispatched through a crevasse beckoned into existence within the courtyard and captures The Professor to the mansion. Erzsebet bathes in Trumbolt's blood and she regenerates herself, but dries up and begins to decompose again shortly afterward because her old nemesis keenly spiked her bath with divine agua. The crafty old soul soon prepares a stake for the haggard vampire when she lunges at him, running herself through on his makeshift garr striking the vital point. She turns to dust on the spot, the various spirits of the victims can rest peacefully, even that of Father Lupescu.
