The Eternity Devil is a minor antagonist in Chainsaw Man, serving as the main antagonist of the Eternity Devil arc in Part 1 and the Dating Denji arc in Part 2. One of the assassins that was sent by the Gun Devil to kill Denji and retrieve his heart, he possessed a fragment of the Gun Devil's flesh, using it to lure the Tokyo Special Division 4 to him in the Eternity Devil arc. He traps them on the eighth floor of the Hotel Morin and attempts to make a contract with the devil hunters. He later traps Asa Mitaka, Denji, and the Devil Hunter Club in an aquarium during the Dating Denji arc, as per Fami's orders.
The Eternity Devil is a huge devil, his body being able to cover most of the floors of the Hotel Morin. His stomach consists of a large amount of flesh that produces several ghastly faces and arms fused together almost like a Picasso-esqe picture of evil. His mouth resembles a a human skull. His real core is shaped almost like a ghastly peanut, with eyes and mouths on either sides, and two mouths in the center.
Personality[]
The Eternity Devil's personality is cowardly, refusing to face danger as to not experience pain, forcing the devil hunters to form a contract with him instead of facing them head on. The Eternity Devil also shows a sadistic side, as seen when he laughs at the panic of one of the devil hunters, Kobeni. He is also shown to desire the glory of being the first devil to ever kill the Chainsaw Devil.
He also seems to have an understanding on the human economy, as he gets angry at Asa for thinking she can buy an entire aquarium with only a million yen.

Eternity Devil Arc[]
In the hunt to retrieve the fragments of the Gun Devil, the squad from Special Division 4 consisting of Denji, Power, Aki Hayakawa, Himeno, Kobeni Higashiyama and Hirokazu Arai were sent to investigate appearance of a devil somewhere within the Hotel Morin, knowing he possesses a fragment of the Gun Devil. As the team investigate the 8th floor, the group encounters a lump of flesh shaped like a human head, which Himeno captured with the help of the Ghost Devil, before Power kills the devil without any second thought.
Although seemingly having killed the devil, it is revealed that the group were trapped on the 8th floor, frozen in time, with all the rooms seemingly being linked together. As a result, the group had no choice but to use the limited food and water they brought with them to the hotel in order to survive, with Denji falling asleep, unbothered by their predicament. As they run out of resources, Power encounters a huge chunk of flesh blocking a section of the corridor of the 8th floor, who reveals himself to be the true form of the Eternity Devil. He tries to strike a contract with the Special Division 4 squad, with him offering to leave the squad unharmed in exchange for letting him eat Denji.
To add insult to injury, Aki was unable to summon his Fox Devil, Kon, in order to defeat the Eternity Devil, as he had cut all contacts with the outside world. A panicked Kobeni attempts to kill Denji in order to end the ordeal, though this failed miserably as she was knocked out by Himeno, with the Eternity Devil laughing at Kobeni's misery. When Himeno attempts to attacks the Eternity Devil using the Ghost Devil's power, the Eternity Devil's body begins to grow larger and larger, telling them that his real body and heart were not on the eight floor, but inside his stomach all along.
He threatens to kill the devil hunters by expanding his body across the whole of the eighth floor if they don't give him Denji, boasting that he wanted to be the first devil to kill Denji. Denji, seeing no other choice, volunteers himself to be eaten by the Eternity Devil. After he jumps into the Eternity Devil's mouth however, he transforms into Chainsaw Man, and begins slashing at the Eternity Devil's insides.
As Denji cuts his body to pieces, the Eternity Devil tries to grab Denji with his arms, telling Denji that he's wasting his time, as Denji will never be able to reach his heart, and he will quickly run out of blood, which he needs to retain his Chainsaw Man form. However, Denji figures out that he can regain the blood he needs from the Eternity Devil's wounds, and because they constantly regenerate, this allows Denji to continue his assault on the devil without ever needing to stop. After around three days, unable to handle the pain anymore, the Eternity Devil surrendered, offering his core to Denji so that he could be put out of his misery. After the Eternity Devil's defeat, the devil hunters were able to leave the hotel, having successfully gained one of the Gun Devil's fragments.
Dating Denji Arc[]
The Eternity Devil returns as part of the Famine Devil's plan to force Asa into making Denji into a weapon. He traps the Devil Hunter Club in an aquarium in a way similar to the incident on the eighth floor at the hotel Tokyo Special Division 4 investigated.
Aquarium Spear
Asa, after collecting money around the aqarium with Denji, "buys" the aquarium and then turns the entire building into a spear, nullifying the Eternity Devil's pocket dimension. The Eternity Devil, now appearing in full outside the building, angrily yells at her that a million yen isn't nearly enough to buy an aquarium and curses Fami for screwing him over. He attempts to strike her, but is stopped by Yoshida. Yoru, taking control of Asa's body, throws the spear at the Eternity Devil and kills him in a single hit.
Powers and Abilities[]

Pocket reality creation: The Eternity Devil's main ability is to trap any living being he desires inside of a pocket reality. In the story, he traps the members of Special Division 4 inside of an endless hotel floor that they cannot escape by any normal means. Seemingly, the Eternity Devil can trigger this ability by making his targets kill a weak-looking Devil that he uses as a bait. It is implied his ability got stronger because of his possession of a fragment of the Gun Devil.
Fear empowerment: As the Eternity Devil, he is able to get more powerful by feeding on humanity's fear of eternity.
Contract creation: Much like all Devils, the Eternity Devil can create contracts with humans to allow them to make use of his powers. The Eternity Devil tries to make a contract with the devil hunters in which he'd let them escape the hotel if they fed him Denji's heart.
Regeneration: The Eternity Devil is able to regenerate or heal himself by drinking blood and, because of this, he can survive all kinds of lethal injuries. This ability ends up backfiring horribly, as Denji exploits it in order to put him in an endless cycle of pain until he becomes suicidal.
Immortality: The Eternity Devil cannot die of old age and will live on pretty much forever if given the chance. However, he can still be killed by external factors, which can causes him to revive in Hell.
Reincarnation: If the Eternity Devil is killed on Earth, he will reincarnate in Hell, making him essentially immortal. The Eternity Devil can return to Earth if he is killed in Hell, which causes him to reincarnate to the human world, now with a completely different appearance and without any of his prior memories.
