Biography[]
Eterno was once a king whose thirst for power could not be quenched, so he sought The Methuselah Tree, (a tree that makes all the water on earth), but he failed, instead he was emtombed in salt by the tree protectors who caused an earthquake. As time passed he became pure salt, only being woken when touched by water. After his reawakening he turns the entire ocean into salt, turning everything with his right hand into salt (including objects) or entomb them into a layer of salt. His left hand doesn't seem to have any effect. The Methuselah Tree is immune to his touch.
Eterno's previous lust for power had become a literal thirst driving him to search for water to drink, but unable to as his salty skin absorbs it. The tree sap, being impervious to him, is also proven to be the thing that can cure him. So he kidnaps The Saturday family to manipulate Zak into obtaining the sap for him, trapping his victims in salt. After being a flower from the Methuselah Tree, Eterno took it and drinks the sap letting out a satisfied "ah" as his body crumbles, into a pile of salt, his thirst finally quenched. The remainder of the tree sap is used to undo all the damage he inflicted and free his victims.
Appearence[]
He is a large, humanoid creature with a formidable, powerful physique, consistent with his past as a warrior king. His body has a crystalline, white, and granular texture, entirely made of salt. His skin appears dry, desiccated, cracked and constantly absorbing any moisture around it emphasizing his extreme and eternal thirst.
Personality[]
Before his curse, he was a warrior king with an "unquenchable thirst for conquest," suggesting a proud, power-hungry, and overconfident disposition. His actions are driven by an agonizing need to quench his undying thirst. This desperation makes him single-minded and dangerous, as he is motivated by a desire to end his physical pain at any cost.
