Euler's identity is the titular main antagonist of Animation vs. Math, the first installment of the Animation vs. Education web series.
It is a sentient math equality that is angry at the Second Coming for constantly chasing it and wants him to go away, eventually resorting to outright murder.
Appearance[]
Euler's identity contains Euler's number, negative one, pi, and the imaginary unit.
Euler's identity is the famous mathematical equation e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0 or e^(i*pi) = -1 where e is Euler's number, also known as the base of the natural logarithm, approximately equal to 2.71828, i is the imaginary number where i^2 = -1, and pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to the circle's diameter, approximately equal to 3.14159.
History[]
The Second Coming somehow finds himself in a mysterious black void where only math symbols reside in. After doing enough math equations, he comes across Euler's identity. Realizing that it is sentient, he tries to interact with it, but it ends up escaping by multiplying itself by i, which can allow it to travel to another dimension, which TSC assumes is an escape from the black void. After doing more equations, he manages to reach it again. This time, it decides to attack him. They enter a fight, with them both using math powers to combat each other, with Euler's identity trying to find an escape route. It eventually manages to flee again.
After finding out more and more about math, the Second Coming manages to reach Euler's identity. They fight once again, with the equality transforming into a second form to kill the stick figure. They continue using math symbols and equations until the identity decides to clone itself over and over again to overwhelm the stick figure. However, even with its newfound army, it still ends up defeated once the Second Coming makes a weapon out of the symbols =f(∞), which essentially works as a gun that one-shots almost everything in the direction it is pointed. The clones retreat until there is only four left, and they decide to make a gigantic, mecha-like creature to combat the stick figure. This time, Euler's identity comes out on top, forcing the Second Coming to combine =f(.) with Π, thus creating massive beams that slowly destroy the mecha. Deciding to finish it off, the stick figure creates one last enormous beam of light, forcing Euler's identity to escape to another dimension with its opponent following it. However, this only ends up causing more trouble as mathamatics begins breaking, with the Second Coming realizing his mistake and saving both himself and his opponent.
Afterwards, the Second Coming apologizes for what he's done. Euler's identity accepts, and the stick figure asks for an exit out of the dimension. The entity pulls off a math equation that [presumably] manages to send the Second Coming back into his world. Just then, more sentient math symbols arrive such as Zeta (ζ), Phi (ϕ), Delta (δ), and eventually Aleph (ℵ). Now having friends, the group of five leaves to have fun together.

Trivia[]
- Euler's identity is one of the few creatures in Animator vs. Animation that is capable of making noise, as proven by its battle cry.
