“ | Hmmmm, It looks like we’ve entered some kind of alternate universe. An illogical reality where everything is backwards. | „ |
~ Evil Harold to Evil George when have been transported to the prime dimension. |
Harold Mitchell Hutchins, better known as Evil Harold Hutchins to differentiate between his original counterpart, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Evil George Beard) of Captain Underpants and the Preposterous Plight of the Purple Potty People, the eighth instalment in the Captain Underpants franchise.
He is Evil George Beard's best friend, he is the Purple Potty's alternate universe counterpart to Harold Hutchins, in which most everything in the primary reality are reversed. According to the logic of this universe, their George and Harold are evil troublemakers out to rule the world, hypnotizing their charming principal Mr. Krupp into the supervillain Captain Blunderpants.
Personality[]
Like his best friend, Evil George Beard, Evil Harold, as his name describes, is evil. He is also the bolder and more daring of the duo, which is similar to how the good George is in the main Captain Underpants universe.
Appearance[]
Evil Harold looks just like the good Harold from the main universe. However, Evil Harold does not wear a t-shirt, but wears a white shirt and red tie instead unlike his good counterpart.
Role[]
Evil Harold Hutchins appears in the eighth book along with the evil counterpart of Captain Underpants, Captain Blunderpants and the evil counterpart of George Beard, Evil George Beard.
He first appeared when he was reading a comic book then changing a sign. He hypnotises Sulu and Crackers to destroy and kill the Good George and the Good Harold and become really wicked. However Crackers did not obey them since, as a female, she does the opposite of the directions given by the Hypno-Ring's abilities; nevertheless, Sulu was brainwashed and obeyed them.
George, Harold, and Crackers return to their reality, but not before bringing Evil George, Evil Harold, Sulu, and Nice Mr. Krupp, who transforms into Captain Blunderpants and grows Sulu to a large size as a distraction for their bank robbery. Sulu (now known as Giant-Evil Sulu) started destroying the town, forcing George and Harold to transform Mr. Krupp into Captain Underpants, who fights up the monster hamster.
Later, he appears on the scene alongside Captain Blunderpants and Evil George, soon after Sulu's huge evil form is subdued. He prepared to attack Captain Underpants, only to be beaten by George and Harold when they snapped his fingers, reverting him to Nice Mr. Krupp. He is nice when he is Mr. Krupp. When he is Captain Blunderpants, though, he is cruel and nasty. When he gets water on his head, he transforms into Captain Blunderpants. When someone snaps their fingers, he reverts to Mr. Krupp. In addition, when Captain Blunderpants is in bad form, he wears a toupee. But he doesn't wear a toupee when he transforms into Mr. Krupp. But he doesn't wear a toupee when he transforms into Mr. Krupp.
Unfortunately, it started raining, and the rain converted ordinary Captain Underpants back into Mr. Krupp, who marched his way home, causing Nice Mr. Krupp to transform back into Captain Blunderpants. He pursues George and Harold and is about to kill them when George and Harold's grandparents appear, and they transform into Boxer Boy and Great Granny Girdle, just as they had drank the Extra-Strength Super Power Juice earlier, and proceed to beat up and defeat Captain Blunderpants and later George and Harold shrunk Evil George and Evil Harold and get sent back to their Earth.
Because of how Evil Harold along with Evil George and Captain Blunderpants were causing havoc in the City of Piqua in the normal universe, their good counterparts, Harold Hutchins, George Beard and Captain Underpants were arrested and framed for the crimes that their evil counterparts committed.
Trivia[]
- The crime of the evil versions of George, Harold and Captain Underpants robbing the bank would have an impact for the rest of the series, and setting a chain of events that:
- In the original timeline, resulted in Mr. Krupp being send to prison and George and Harold being send to juvenile detention, which allowed Tippy Tinkletrousers to escape from prison with Krupp, inadvertently alter the past and create a catastrophic present devastated by the Evil Zombie Nerds, which would have stayed that way had Tinkletrousers not time-travelled back to undo his mistake.
- In the new timeline, which was caused by Tippy time-traveling to the moment George and Harold were about to be arrested, this led to the authorities looking for George, Harold and Mr. Krupp despite their innocence for months until they gave up (as they had time-traveled to the Cretaceous age) and likely concerning their acquaintances, the Purple Potty's destruction and the deaths of Sulu and Crackers to save the universe to save everyone from Slightly Younger Tiny Tippy's omnicidal threat, orphaning their eggs.
- It's unknown what happen to Evil George and Evil Harold after they where back to their own dimension, its possible that they are left shrunk for the rest of their lives and possibly crushed to death by Captain Blunderpants (due to illustration seems to indicate they he and Evil Harold are presumably crushed by Captain Blunderpants when George and Harold kicked the three villains back into their own dimension).
- It's funny how there is an evil George and Harold as the boys from the "prime world" have been known to be somewhat of jerks themselves. For the first few books, they ruined events with their pranks and didn't care about how upset it made the other students, who are nicer than the teachers. In fact, Captain Underpants was created to avoid punishment from a prank, although that case was justified as Krupp threatening to reveal it to the football team unless they become his servants isn't quite proper. Though, by the time evil George and Harold debuted, the other boys already gotten much better.
