The Evil Will is the embodiment of all darkness and evil in the universe and the overarching antagonist of Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger. Existing as the negative antithesis to our world, the Evil Will's desire is to destroy the universe so it can create a new one under its control.
To that end, the Evil Will sent meteor showers across the universe that contained a vision of its power. Several would witness the Evil Will's message and seek to interface with it, including the Jakanja and Ikki Kasumi, the father of the Gouraigers.
It was voiced by the late Seizō Katō, who also played several other Tokusatsu villains including Star King Bazeu in Dengeki Sentai Changeman, Emperor Zeba in Hikari Sentai Maskman, Dai Satan in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, General Jark in Kamen Rider Black RX and Alien Mefilas in Ultraman and Ultraman Mebius.
History[]
Existing long before the start of our universe, the Evil Will was in opposition to the will of our universe. It sought to corrupt our universe and reshape it in its own image, but was unable to enter it and sat outside it in a dimension formed from itself.
To accomplish this desire, the Evil Will sent meteor showers across the universe containing visions of its power. One of these meteor showers was witnessed 500 years prior to the start of the series by Tau Zant, who learned of the Evil Will. Tau Zant formed the Jakanja to assist him in invoking the Evil Will and allowing it entrance to our universe, so he could become god of the new universe that was created after the destruction of the old one.
Many years later, Ikki Kasumi witnessed another meteor shower sent out by the Evil Will, father of two sons who would later become the Gouraigers. Also seeking to harness its power, Kasumi spent the rest of his preparing his sons to invoke the Evil Will.
After obtaining the Raging Arrow and Grieving Bow, Tau Zant began preparations to use both objects to invoke the Evil Will. After assuming his Ultimate Form, Tau Zant opened up a wormhole to allow the Evil Will entrance into our universe. It was at that point however that Tau Zant was betrayed by Sandaaru, who attempted to take his place in invoking the Evil Will. Although Sandaaru was killed by the Gouraigers sacrificing Gouraijin, this did not stop the Evil Will from exerting its influence into our universe. The Hurricanegers then went through the wormhole to stop the Evil Will and were able to reclaim the Raging Arrow and Grieving Bow, using the two weapons on the Evil Will to destroy its dimension.
However, the Evil Will was able to slip into our universe and brought back the giant Tau Zant to challenge the Hurricanegers. The Hurricanegers were able to destroy Tau Zant using Senpuujin, but the Evil Will survives and summons the Seven Darkness Spears to fight the Hurricanegers. However, the Gouraigers reappeared and joined with Hurricanegers in facing them. After the Seven Dark Spears were destroyed, the Evil Will summoned Tau Zant and merged with him to take on the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers one last time. The Evil Will was vanquished after Tau Zant was destroyed by the two Ninja teams using the Victory Gadget, ending its threat forever.
