The Evolution Beasts, later known as the Mechavolution Beasts, were animal and later object-themed monsters that served the Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire and were the monsters of the week in Kagaku Sentai Dynaman.
The Evolution Beasts had an inbuilt genetic mechanism called the Big Bang Process where, if they were defeated, their DNA would immediately expand and evolve to grow more powerful, turning them into giants. The Mechavolution Beasts lacked this ability and were enlarged by General Kar by dropping their remains underground and reassembling and enlarging the pieces with his Big Bang Beam (which only he could use).
Species History[]
Unlike the higher ranking members of the Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire, the Evolution Beasts were not derived from the original meteor whose organisms evolved into the Tail-People. Instead, General Kar uses a machine known as the Evolutionary Progressor to mix together a Primordial Soup of different ancient species chosen by Kar. After being chosen, the Progressor speeds up an evolutionary process that should take billions of years into seconds; advancing the chosen animal "far into the future" to reach Evolution Beast stage. The first Evolution Beast to be created is Crab Evo who is sent to kidnap humans for the Tailed People to experiment on and later accompanies Prince Megiddo in an invasion of the surface only to be destroyed by the newly formed Dynamen. From then on, the Evolution Beasts are focused on mutating humanity in various ways to better serve the Jashinka Empire until the arrival of Princess Chimera. After her return, Emperor Aton decides to just kill all humans and replace them with Tailed People as the dominant species although all future plans to this end also fail.
With the death of Mammoth Evo, the last of the pure prehistoric animal genetics are expunged and thus no more normal Evolution Beasts can be created. However, General Kar then turns the Evolutionary Progressor into the Mecha Progressor; a machine able fuse partial animal DNA with various objects to create newer, stronger Evolution Beasts. Dubbed Mechavolution Beasts, these new creatures are too powerful for the Super Dynamite which bounces off them and the Dynamen are forced to destroy them through other means (Missile Crayfish with his own missiles and Guillotine Lizard with his own electric attacks) before they create the New Super Dynamite which is powerful enough to destroy even Mechavolution Beasts. With General Kar's eventual death, the knowledge of how to use the Mecha Progressor and the ability to use the Big Bang Beam is lost. However, the final Mechavoluton Beast is Fire Sphinx since General Kar created him before his death. Due to Kar's death though, the final Mechavolution Beast is unable to grow giant and the Jashinka Empire is destroyed very soon after anyway.
