Exodus (real name: Bennet du Paris) is a mutant from the Crusades and a follower of Magneto.
Originally a Crusader in the 12th century, Bennet du Paris was in the Holy Land serving the Black Knight Eobar Garrington. While seeking a legendary "tower of power", in a Palestinian territory called Akkaba. When he learned that the Black Knight would not aid him in the quest for power, du Paris ventured off himself. After near death experiences, du Paris finally reached Akkaba. du Paris was found by Apocalypse, who unleashed Bennet's latent mutant powers, enhanced and sped up du Paris' mutant powers and turned him into Exodus, "the journeyman bridging the chasm between an ancient past and a distant, inevitable future."
Thus he became Exodus, able to fly and discharge energy bolts. Apocalypse cast Exodus into suspended animation when he refused to kill the Black Knight, from which he has recently awoken from. Exodus served Magneto as his herald and once led the Acolytes in his absence in struggles against the X-Men. Exodus found much about Magneto's philosophy appealing, and joined Magneto's cause and became a loyal and powerful lieutenant and disciple to the master of magnetism. Exodus on occasion will give his name as Paris Bennett, which is an alias. He continued the fight until the X-Man, Nate Grey, sealed him in a mountain. Later, Exodus commanded the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in an assault on the X-Mansion, before being sucked into a black hole by Xorn.
