I am Vengeance. I am destruction. I am EXTROYER!
~ Extroyer's new catchphrase.

Extroyer (formerly known as Troy Winter) is a major antagonist in the 2013 Max Steel reboot series.

He is a treacherous mercenary who turned against his employer Miles Dredd upon realizing the potential of the power in the very Ultralink the latter assigned to seize from N-Tek — Miles Dredd's attempt to dispose the Ultralink in response of the mercenary's treachery saw it merged into Troy's body leading to his transformation.

He was voiced by Brian Drummond, who also voiced his original counterpart.

Appearance[]

As Troy Winter, he was a tall, muscular adult male with a similar build to Forge. Sporting blond hair, green eyes, and a goatee, he donned a full-body black-purple-grey armor.

In his Extroyer form, he takes on a zombie-like appearance. His skin pales, eyes turn purple, and his teeth, lower jaw, and left side of his head are now composed of purple crystals. The damaged Ultralink on his left chest is covered in purple crystals, extending to his left shoulder and forearm. His hand enlarges, transforming into three clawed fingers. Despite these changes, his legs and right arm remain unaffected by the transformation. When shifting into an animal, his Ultralink typically increases in size. All his forms exhibit crystals on the left side of their bodies, mirroring Extroyer's humanoid shape.

Personality[]

Before his mutation, Troy was a conceited, ambitious, deceitful, self-centered, and merciless individual. His self-centeredness is evident multiple times in The Thrill of the Hunt, such as when he refused to negotiate payment with his henchmen for their assistance or when he betrayed Dread and kept the Ultralink for himself. Troy shows no concern for anyone but himself, displaying no remorse for causing harm to others for his own benefit. He even takes pleasure in it, wearing a twisted and sadistic grin while doing so, revealing a disturbed and cruel side of him.

Troy frequently makes remarks and comments related to his predatory nature, like when he is being pursued by Max Steel, stating that he has become the hunted. He is easily angered, as seen when Naught refuses to pay him for the Ultralink, leading him to become extremely furious and threaten them with a hunting knife. Troy also shows no regard for who he deals with, indicating a fearless disposition.

After transforming into Extroyer, a vengeful, wrathful, and darker version of Troy emerges. Initially, his focus is primarily on seeking revenge against Miles Dread for what he had done to him. However, as the series progresses, Extroyer becomes obsessed with gaining more power for himself. Despite being enemies, he occasionally collaborates with Miles, as seen in “Extroyer Unleashed” and ”Dredd Ascendant”.

Due to Max Steel constantly thwarting his plans, Extroyer harbors a deep hatred for the hero. This animosity is evident on various occasions, such as in “Thanks, I Think”, when Extroyer becomes enraged at the mention of Max's name by Dwayne, or in “Me, Myself, and Extroyer”, when he tries to tarnish the hero's reputation to make people despise him. “Me, Myself, and Extroyer” also reveals Extroyer's delusional side, as he believes himself to be the ultimate human being and believes that people should worship him instead of Max Steel. Furthermore, Extroyer's violent tendencies escalate, as he frequently threatens his henchmen and instills fear in them to ensure their obedience.

History[]

Troy Winter was hired by Miles Dredd to steal an Ultralink of N-Tek. However, Troy decided he wanted the Ultralink for himself, but when he opened the box where the Ultralink was, a hologram of Dread appeared saying that he knew that Troy would betray him, then, the Ultralink exploded in Troy after the message ended he was creating Extroyer.
