Deathtopia Advance!!!
~ Fuhrer Taboo instructing Deathdark to reveal itself.

Führer Taboo is the supreme leader of Dark Science Empire Deathdark and the primary antagonist of Dai Sentai Goggle V. He typically resides behind a translucent wall directing things from Deathdark's fortress Deathtopia while his subordinates carry out his will. Taboo desires to take over the world and wipe out the human race in order to replace them with his newly created species. He is also the Goggle V Rangers's archenemy, despite facing them personally only at the very end of the season. He is also the most powerful and dangerous enemy the Goggle V Rangers ever faced. Taboo is also a sinister, tyrannical, intelligent and villainous mastermind who plotted many times against the human world and manipulated the protagonists of the season many times.

He was voiced by Eisuke Yoda, who previously voiced Shine in JAKQ Dengekitai and also voiced Lu-Long and Demost in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya.

Biography[]

Past[]

Taboo's exact origins are unknown, though according to him he was created thousands of years ago as a 'super gene' product of genetic engineering.

2,000 years prior to the present time of the series, Taboo had his chief commander Grand Marshal Deathmark enter a deep slumber so he could be reawakened again when needed. While he slumbered, Taboo telepathically educated Deathmark on all matters of scientific development and history so he would be well-prepared when he finally reawakened.

Beginning Deathdark's Attack[]

In the present day, Taboo and the Deathdark make their move to conquer the world. They began by raising Deathtopia above the ground and going on a rampage throughout Japan, destroying all in their path. In response to this, Professor Hongo gathered five talented individuals to form the Goggle V and combat Deathdark.

After the continued failures of his two top scientists, Dr. Zazoriya and Dr. Iguana, to defeat Goggle V, Fuhrer Taboo had Deathmark reawakened so he once again take his place at Taboo's side as his chief executive. He gave the two scientists one last task to redeem themselves, to gather life energy from people across Japan so it could be used to further power up Deathmark. After the two failed to gather a sufficient amount of life energy, Taboo allowed Deathmark to execute them.

In the finale, following the demise of General Deathgiller, Taboo had Deathmark confront the Goggle V himself. Deathmark seemingly killed them, but this gave the team a chance to storm Deathtopia. As his teammates fought to hold off the other forces of Deathdark, Goggle Red stormed the throne room and confronted Fuhrer Taboo. Deathmark then appeared to duel Goggle Red and was able to overpower him, only for Goggle Red to strike the wall Taboo. His actual form revealed, Taboo explained his origin to the Goggle V before casting them all out to fight Deathmark and his minions. The Goggle V defeated Deathmark and destroyed Deathtopia, but Taboo emerged, giant-sized, to fight GoggleRobo in a final battle. After having his lower half chopped off, Taboo was finally destroyed when Goggle Robo stabbed his eye, causing him to explode.

Personality[]

Fuhrer Taboo is the merciless, cunning, tyrannical and megalomaniacal leader of the Deathdark and also the machiavellin psychopath, who desires nothing other than absolute power and world domination. However, while he bears multiple similarities with all other primary Sentai villains, who desired world domination and absolute power, Taboo is slightly different. He is quite enigmatic, mysterious and sinister and resided behind the translucent wall for most of the series. Only in the finale of the season, he showed up and faced the Goggle V himself. It's not much known about him, except his machiavellin, ruthless and tyrannical nature and his desire to conquer the Earth, but he shares many similarities with other Sentai villainous masterminds, such as being sinister, calculating, intelligent and villainous strategist, who is capable of creating cunning plans and tactics for achieving his goals, such as when he manipulated Goggle V multiple times during the many story arcs of the season.

Taboo is also quite hot-tempered and wrathful and has little tolerance towards his own underlings, often abusing and humiliating them for the slightiest failures. He is also extremely proud of his own species and while he considers Deathdark race superior to humans, that's not a redeeming qualiy because it's likely and even made clear that he only does it for achieving power and absolute might, and not of altruistic intentions, such as equality of the races. Also, Taboo lacks and is in fact devoid of attachment towards his own generals and minions and actually uses them as a tools for his own power.

Powers and Abilities[]

Fuhrer Taboo is the most powerful enemy the Goggle V Rangers ever faced, despite appearing and fighting them personally only at the very end of the series. He is the most powerful member of Deathdark, of course obviously because he is their leader. And Taboo also possesses multiple supernatural powers and abilities, which were revealed during the series, especially in his true form when he revealed himself.

Taboo's Behind Translucent Wall abilities[]

  • Taboo didn't display any special abilities in this initial form, only speaking with his generals and giving them his commands and instructions to their plans.

True Form[]

Taboo showed far more abilities in his true form, such as:

  • Superhuman Strength: In his true form, Taboo is superhumanly strong, being able to easily overwhelm all Goggle V Rangers at once. He surpasses in strength any of his henchmen and is easily the most powerful member of Deathdark.
  • Fighting Skills: Despite only appearing briefly, the leader of Deathdark also proved to be a quite capable fighter, easily besting and outmatching all Goggle V team at once.
  • Superhuman Durability: The ruler of Deathdark is also highly durable and can withstand multiple hits and strikes from the Goggle V
  • Energy Projection: He can also project energy blasts at his enemies, which are very powerful.
  • Enlarging: Taboo can enlarge himself at his will.
  • Flight: Taboo can fly.
  • Regeneration: Taboo can heal himself and regrowe his lost limbs.
