The Faceless Old Woman is a major character on the absurdist paranormal fiction podcast Welcome to Night Vale, and the main protagonist of the novel The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home. She is one of the main antagonists of the podcast's third year, but acts as a neutral character and protagonist later in the series.
She is an omnipresent being without a face who lives in all the homes in the town of Night Vale simultaneously. She often causes minor chaos around peoples' homes, learns their secrets, and once attempted to forcefully take mayoral office with the help of five-headed dragon Hiram McDaniels.
She was voiced and portrayed in live shows by Mara Wilson, who also portrayed herself on Nostalgia Critic and The Nostalgia Chick, Diane Amara on Big Hero 6: The Series, and Mrs. Mayberry on Helluva Boss.
