The Fake Heroes are one of the antagonist in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. They are respectively Derolin, Zurbon, Masopho, and Herohero.
Personality[]
Derolin[]
Derolin is the leader of the group. He is arrogant and cold-hearted, willing to slaughter inoffensive monsters and kill Dai for his pocket.
Zurbon[]
The priestess of the team, Zurbon is easily the calmest and most intelligent member, and just like other members, she is also cold-hearted enough to kill weak monsters for money. She is also willing to seduce enemies.
Masopho[]
Masopho, just like other members of the Fake Heroes, are willing to kill weak monsters for money, thus, he is too cold-hearted. However, he encouraged Pop to fight Crocodine when the later tried to run away.
He also has an older brother named Matoriv, who is a Grand Sorcerer.
Herohero[]
Herohero is noticeably greedy, as his weakness is actually money. Just like other members, he is cold-hearted.
History[]
The Fake Heroes looked for the legendary Golden Metal Slime to trade it with King Rosmos for the Crown of Heroes and gold. As a result, they targeted Delmurin Island and lied to Dai that they were the heroes. Zurbon then distracted Dai by asking for a tour. Soon, Brass, Dai's adoptive grandfather noticed their true identify. As a result, they attacked the innocent monsters on the island and kidnapped Gome the Golden Metal Slime.
Soon, they returned to Kingdom of Rosmos and gave Gome to the king. However, Zurbon, who had wondered over to boutique, was kidnapped by Dai and his monster friends. They forced her to tell them the weakness of the other members, and thus, with the help from a Goodybag and a few Mud mannequins, they defeated Masopho and Herohero. However, Derolin claims that he didn't has any weakness and catch Dai in the throat, ready to kill him. Dai then released the monsters from the far away land, surrounding Derolin, Masopho and Herohero, with Zurbon seducing and kidnapping the slimes who guard her. She held the slimes hostage, only for them to fuse into a King Slime, who easily defeated Zurbon too. Dai then used this chance to trap Derolin in a capsule, finally defeating the Fake Heroes.
After their defeat in Kingdom of Rosmos, the Fake Heroes decided not to steal anymore and instead tried to earn money from gullible people by defeating weak monsters. They would also encounter Vearn's force multiple times but survived. In the end, after Vearn's death, they went to serve the great magician Matoriv.
