The Fake Straw Hat Pirates are a group of wannabe importers under the leadership of Demaro Black.

History[]

Using the fact the real Straw Hats had been inactive since rhe Paramount War two years prior, the group disguised themselves to look similar to the bounty posters and went to Sabaody Archipelago to begun recruiting Pirates with real strength into an army for them. However, this happened on the same week the real Straw Hats were returning and caused them all to meet and reveal the ruse.

Black was captured by Sentomaru, Cocoa was kidnapped by government agents who thought she was Robin and the rest were about to be buried alive by Caribou.

In the Egghead Arc, they are revealed to still be alive for some reason. They are now locked in Impel Down and have taken to losing as the Kid Pirates. Having not seemed to learn their lesson that impersonation of power people will NOT do them any good; plus they're still stupid enough to think they can pull off the charade.

Trivia[]

Despite being a Fake Straw Hat crew, they look very different from the original members:
- Drip and Mountainblutin are the only ones to look like the posters as they could Fake the incorrect faces.
- Luffy is a hand-to-hand fighter. Black uses a gun.
- Majoro is too chubby to be a swordfighter.
- Cocoa is a midgit with beady eyes. Robin is a tall woman with blue eyes.
- Turco has a thin face in comparison to Franky's large one. Plus he doesn't have a metal nose.
- Chocolat is middled aged, potbellied and has a football head with beady eyes. Nami is a teenager with a good figure and amber eyes.
The fact anyone thought these guys were real prompted Sentomaru to think whomever got fooled were imbeciles.
- Luffy, to his credit, thought Drip and Majoro were Sanji and Zoro in disguises; being an understandable theory.
- Chopper lacks common sense in situations Luffy doesn't; in fairness he's likely color blind as a reindeer, so differences are harder for him.
The only Straw Hats they didn't run into or insult were Zoro, Sanji, Robin, Franky and Brook.
