This villain was proposed but was rejected by the community for not being heinous enough or lacks what is necessary to be a Pure Evil villain. Therefore, this villain shall be added to our "Never Again List", where proposed villains rejected by the community shall be placed to prevent future proposals of the same evil-doer. They can be proposed again (with the permission of an administrator) if new elements appear in their series that can change their status as non-PE villains.

Farmer Tregowan is the main antagonist of the Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids episode The Chipper Chums Go Scrumping.

He is the infamous owner of an apple orchard that the titular Chipper Chums go to in an attempt to steal some of his apples.

Like all other characters in the show, he was voiced by Nigel Planer.

Appearance[]

Tregowan is a large rotund balding man with a round head. He is seen wearing an olive-green cap, blue overalls, and a pair of black shoes. He is also always seen carrying a double-barreled gun.

Personality[]

Farmer Tregowan is a cruel, vindictive man that doesn't tolerate any one of his apples being stolen. This has apparently happened so much that he began lacing the apples with an insecticide that is strong enough to paralyze people when ingested. He also isn't hesitant to shoot at people that try to take his apples, and shoots the Chipper Chums' dog Stinker when he tried to attack him afterwards.

He is also unwilling to make any sort of compromise with the theft of his apples. When the Chipper Chums tell him that he should spare them, as this was a minor infraction they caused, Tregowan wasn't at all amused, and instead decided that he should squeeze the apple juice out of them using his 10 ton press.

Biography[]

Towards the second half of the story, the Chipper Chums decide to go scrumping when Alice asks for an apple. They hear a gunshot from Farmer Tregowan's shotgun when he got attacked by Stinker he shoots and maims him or kills him in the book. When the apples' insecticide kicked in the Chipper Chums croak and he successfully squeezes not just the apples but also their corpses as stated by Uncle Grizzly during the ending for a warning for us not to drink it!

Trivia[]

  • The episode that Tregowan appears in is often cited as a parody of the works of the British children's author Enid Blyton. Tregowan's character appears to be based on various villains that appear in her novel series The Famous Five. Like in the series, Tregowan is a treacherous villain that the unsupervised children encounter. However, whereas in the book series the Famous Five always come out on top, Tregowan actually succeeds in killing the Chipper Chums.
