Fart is the main antagonist of the Adult Animated Sci-fi comedy Rick and Morty episode "Mortynight Run". He is a gaseous being bent on killing every single carbon-based life form in the universe. He is befriended by Morty after he saved his life from assassination by Krombopulos Michael.
He is voiced by New Zealand actor, Jemaine Clement, who also voiced Tamatoa in Moana, Nigel in Rio, Fleshlumpeater in The BFG, and Boris the Animal in Men in Black 3.
Appearance[]
Fart was a transparent cloud of bright neon blue gas. It had five electric spheres in the hues purple, pink, green, blue, and orange. Each one sparkles for every syllable he says.
Personality[]
He is shown to be emotionless throughout the episode showing extreme tranquillity. Fart was also shown to be quite polite as he complimented may of the people he interacted with.
His view on carbon based life forms was that he considered them a detrimental "disease" that needed to be eradicated from the universe. An exception to this view was his relationship with Morty because he considered him very caring however he most likely would not have spared his life if he had the had the chance to eradicate his undesirables.
Biography[]
Rick sells an anti-matter gun to Krompbopulos Michael for 3000 flurbos to assassinate Fart as he is unable to be killed with regular matter. Morty believes this to be unethical and makes the effort to save Fart from being killed and he sets off to send him back to the wormhole that leads back to his kind.
The Galactic Federation go in pursuit of Rick, Fart, and Morty leading to a shootout that caused many deaths of civilians. When Fart is finally returned to the wormhole, he reveals to Morty that he plans to return with his kind to rid the universe of every single carbon based life form. This leaves Morty no other choice but to kill Fart with the anti-matter gun and come to the conclusion that his efforts to save Fart were ultimately void.
Trivia[]
- The wormhole that leads to Fart's kind resembles a female vulva which hints that fart is really just a cosmic queef.
