Leave this house!
~ The Father yelling at his daughter, foreshadowing his true nature.

The Unnamed Father is the main antagonist of the Jack Stauber music video, entitled Bumblebees are Out. He is the abusive parent of the daughter who sings the song, with it being heavily implied he treats her terribly.

He was voiced by Jack Stauber.

Personality[]

The Fathers defining characteristics are his short temper that he has with his kid, and his abusive nature which is never shown on screen but is heavily implied that he beats his daughter if she does anything that displeases him.

Biography[]

The video starts with clips of bumps on the daughters eyes, with The Father behind his daughter. It then cuts to a image of The Father angered, having a large red bump on his nose, it cuts to another shot showing the house where the two characters live. A look inside the house shows the daughter and father walking around their house while they are laughing. This is cut short by the daughter accidentally knocking over a vase, prompting a violent response from The Father who yells at his daughter to leave the house. Outside the girl sings about picking flowers while bees sting her (her dad beating her), several times while she just goes and picks flowers. The song ends with the girl having several sting bumps all over her head.

Trivia[]

  • It has mainly been agreed by the majority of fans that the music video is about and features the dark themes of child abuse and neglect, notably seen with the dynamic of the daughter and the fathers relationship. As the father is seen getting furious at the daughter after accidentally breaking a vase before she is told to leave the house, as the daughter does so, she starts picking flowers resulting in bees stinging her, leaving her with many large swollen sting bumps at the end. It's commonly speculated by fans that the stings has a symbolic meaning which is actually the abuse that the daughter is taking from her father.
  • The music video is considered one of Jack's most recognizable works, due to its disturbing themes and mentions of child abuse. With the video featuring heavy distortion, a creepy tone, and creepy visuals. With the father being one of them due to how his physical appearance looks.
