Biography[]
Prior to the events of the series, Febby was a made member of the DiMeo Crime Family in New Jersey. It is heavily implied that Febby was a part of the Aprile Crew, which was led by Jackie Aprile, a powerful capo in the family, with the two also knowing each other as they both served time in the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary. Later, Febby was arrested by the FBI and instead of going to prison, became an informant and ratted on another made man in the family, named Jimmy, who would later die in prison. Despite this, Febby was most likely kicked out of the witness protection due to him selling drugs on the side. Febby was forced to move to Waterville, Maine where he became a travel agent giving speeches at colleges about his experience as a former mobster. Febby also went under the name of "Frederick Peters" so that he could avoid being caught by his former mobster friends.
During the episode "College", Tony takes his daughter, Meadow to Bates College in Maine and just by sheer coincidence, Tony sees Febby at a gas station and figures out his identity with the help of Christopher Moltisanti. Tony later tries to murder Febby outside of his house, but stops when he sees Febby's wife and daughter are nearby. Tony tracks down Febby again and right after Febby's drug customers leave, Tony uses a piece of wiring to strangle Febby. After a brief conversation discussing Febby's betrayal to the family, Tony strangles Febby to death.
