The Fellflower is a minor antagonist in Genshin Impact, serving as the main antagonist of the "Shadow Amidst Snowstorms" event. It is a mutated Whopperflower that has the ability to take on the forms of humans.
Throughout most of the event, the Fellflower takes on the appearance of Albedo. It looks exactly like him in every way with the one exception being that it lacks the star on Albedo's neck.
In its true form, it has the appearance of a giant Cryo Whopperflower with scarlet tainted around its body due to absorbing the blood of Durin.
When the Traveller goes to Dragonspine to help Albedo, they find that somebody has stolen some of his alchemy notes. While investigating, they find a trail which the follow to catch the thief. Eventually, the trail leads to a cave. Knowing that the cave as another exit, Albedo goes around to corner the thief while the traveller waits.
However, Albedo comes out and says the thief gave him the slip just as Bennett shouts for help. After the traveller helps Bennett, he finds Albedo disappeared. As he looks, he finds Allbedo exit the cave again while asking why the traveller left his spot. Just then Eula arrives accusing Albedo of trying to kill her and a kid she was looking after.
After a discussion, the party realizes they are likely dealing with an imposter.
As they discuss what to do back at Albedo's base, an avalanche occurs causing the group to get separated. While they find Bennett, Albedo is nowhere to be found until he just appears to them. However, the traveller and Eula sense something amiss. As Bennett and Amber are resting, the fake Albedo attacks the traveller and Eula, prompting Amber and Bennett to help. Just then, the real Albedo arrives and stabs the imposter in the chest.
The imposter then reveals itself to be a Whopperflower and continues its assault on the heroes until it is put down. After which, they deduce what could have caused its mutation, and the traveller points out it failed to perfectly copy Albedo, allowing them to see through the disguise.
After escorting Eula, Amber, and Bennett down the mountain, the traveller and Albedo have a discussion about the imposter.
As the traveller leaves, Albedo thinks about another imposter who was created at the same time as him.
