In the Film
Biography
Feyd's biography is extremly unknown except he is na-baron of house harkonnen.
Destroying the House of Atreides
After virtually destroying the House of Atreides, Baron Harkonnen decided to have Rabban brutalize the people of Arrakis, with the intent that he would send Feyd to act as a savior, and win popular support for the Harkonnen. During this, in the 1984 film, young Feyd was strutting around wearing nothing but a metal bird, leading to the Baron becoming aroused. Upon realizing what was happening to him, the Baron angrily called for his Doctor.
Final Showdown with Paul and Death
What the Baron and his nephews did not count on was the survival of Paul Atreides or his mother the Lady Jessica. Taken in by the Fremen natives, Paul rose to a position of prominence as he led the Fremen in a war against the Harkonnen that brought spice production to a standstill. Feyd came with his uncle to Arrakis, and was captured by the Atreides/Fremen force while his uncle was killed by Alia Atreides.
In the 2000 mini-series
Feyd, now the leader of the Harkonnen, challenged Paul to a duel to the death with knives. Despite his attempt to cheat by placing a poisoned spike in his fighting suit, Paul was able to defeat him and stab him under the jaw, where the tip of the blade went into the brain, killing him.
