This unnamed Sangheili Field Marshal is the main antagonist of Halo: Reach. He is a Sangheili Zealot and a member of the "Field Marshal" subclass, as well as a member of Rho 'Barutamee's fleet and the Devoted Sentries. He encounters Noble team several times throughout Reach and serves as the final boss of the game.
History[]
The Field Marshal first encountered Noble Team while they were investigating the Visegrád Relay. The Field Marshal ambushed and attacked Noble Team alongside two of his Zealots, but retreated after his shields collapse due to gunfire, while his Zealots were killed by Noble 5 and 6.
It later participated in an attack on the building Noble Team were in. The Field Marshal rode in a Phantom and shot and killed Catherine-B320 with a Needle Rifle while she was not paying attention and was complaining of Noble Team's next assignment. Noble Six grabbed Catherine-B320's pistol and used it to shoot at the Field Marshal with the rest of Noble Team joining in as well with firing their MA37 Assault Rifles at him. However, the Field Marshal orders the Phantom to fall back, escaping Noble Team again.
The Field Marshal later led a squad of Zealots and Spec Ops Grunts against Noble Six and Emile-A239 while they were trying to get to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn with The Package. The Field Marshal's Zealots kill Emile-A239, leaving Noble Six alone to complete his mission. The Field Marshal confronted Noble Six after he killed the remaining Zealots and Spec Ops Grunts. The Field Marshal faced off against the SPARTAN armed with a Fuel Rod Gun and an Energy Sword. After an intense fight, Noble Six killed the Field Marshal, avenging everyone who died thanks to him, and allowing the Pillar of Autumn to escape Reach with Cortana and the Master Chief aboard, inevitably leading to the end of the Human-Covenant War and Humanity's survival, along with the collapse of the Covenant Empire in the process.
