The Fighting Dragons Studio are the main antagonists in the 2010 martial arts film The Karate Kid, the fifth installment of the franchise of the same name. It is a martial arts school managed by Li which uses a vicious style of kung fu, something it has done to win several competitions and influence a number of young trainees.
Biography[]
Although the exact year the Fighting Dragons won the championship titles is uncertain, it is clear that Cheng, a studio student, is the major champion and most skilled fighter. Because of his skill in the martial arts and remarkable dexterity in battle, Cheng is respected by his friends and fellow students and feared by many non-relatives. Cheng began attending the studio, where he quickly rose to the highest position.
Master Li teaches unethical Kung Fu by instilling in his students the notion that an adversary is not deserving of mercy, and that mercy should never be shown to them. Even before the Fighting Dragons lost the tournament, he violently abused his students for being considerate and sympathetic. Cheng began going to the studio with his buddies, where the former quickly rose to the position of head of the top group of students. Dre Parker, a foreigner residing in Benjing who attends a school that the fighters attend, is bullied by other dojo students, particularly Cheng, Ling, and Zhaung. Cheng and the others bully Dre ruthlessly. In order to acquire self-defense techniques, Dre visits the studio. He makes the decision not to go with them after learning that Cheng and his buddies go to the studio. To resolve the conflict, Mr. Han takes Dre to the studio. When Mr. Han disrupts his lesson, Master Li grows hostile and challenges Mr. Han to a fight. However, Mr. Han suggests that the dispute be resolved at the forthcoming Kung Fu competition and that his pupils refrain from attacking him until the competition so that he has time to practice. Master Li concurs but issues threats to both Mr. Han and Dre if they don't win the competition. Several karate dojos competed for the championship title. The Fighting Dragons Studio is depicted prevailing in the competition with ease, handily beating the other participating dojos. Cheng mercilessly beats him with the help of Wu Ping, another dojo student. The competition amongst the students is still ongoing. Dre succeeds in defeating the opponents and advances to the finals. Then Master Li orders Liang to harm him, disqualifying him. Dre prepares for his fight with Cheng and doesn't give up; he defeats Cheng and takes first place in the competition.
After all of Li's students leave him and accept Mr. Han as their new master, it is possible that Fighting Dragons went bankrupt, and Li was exposed as a horrible teacher and was arrested for his terrible influencing on his students.
Fighting Style[]
The Fighting Dragons' guiding principle of "No pain, no weakness, no mercy" is repeatedly and truly tested. The fighting is rigorous, vicious, and immoral. Li taught his students they shall not show mercy, and an enemy deserves no mercy. He physically abused his students for showing mercy and respect even before the Fighting Dragons lost the tournament. As a result of his teachings and brutal principles, Master Li's students became vicious, nearly unsympathetic, proficient fighters.
