Planning a Coup[]

Hundreds of years ago, Val Morando was chosen to be the General of the Taylon Phalanx, an army of Akiridions trained by King Fialkov and Queen Coranda to protect Akiridion-5 and House Tarron by any means necessary, and it is also mentioned that he also upgraded the Mothership. However, despite being meant to be a protector of the planet, Morando became more and more power-hungry over time, so he led the Taylon Phalanx, who chose to follow him, to usurp the King and Queen's throne. However, they were never successful, so they were banished from Akiridion-5 by the King and Queen for the crime of high treason, even though it was a merciful act since the punishment for high treason was death.

However, he found an opportunity to free himself and the Taylon Phalanx so he could use them to usurp the throne once more. To that end, he contacted the Zeron Brotherhood, led by Zeron Alpha, and had them murder Varvatos Vex's family and hundreds of Akiridion civilians in the tragic bombing of Satellite-Nine. Morando was aware that after the attack, Vex asked the King to pursue the Zeron Brotherhood across the galaxy to avenge his family, but the King refused and increased the defenses of Akiridion-5 instead. The day before his coup, Morando manipulated Vex into lowering the shields by using his quest for vengeance and lying that no one would be harmed upon his return.
On the day of Princess Aja and Prince Krel's coronation, Morando orders his forces to begin attacking Akiridion-5 since the shields have already been lowered by Varvatos. He later confronts the Tarron family in their palace, where he forces his men to shoot at the King and Queen, causing them to lose their physical bodies. After immediately seeing his mistake and realizing how weak-minded he was to lower the shields, Varvatos promises the King and Queen that he will protect Aja and Krel, with the King forgiving him for his actions. He then takes the King and Queen's royal cores and retreats into the Mothership with the heirs, while Zadra stays behind and buys them time to escape.
Sending His Bounty Hunters[]

Later, Morando has his V-Strikers engage the Mothership to kill everyone on board, but unfortunately for him, the Mothership flees from Akiridion-5 by jumping into hyperspace. A soldier reports to the exiled general that they were unable to track the House Tarron Mothership, due to their own ships not being properly equipped for space travel. Out of disappointment, he kills the soldier by crushing his life core, and assembles several bounty hunters consisting of one Gorbonian, Halcon, a Foo-Foo, the Zeron Brotherhood (which he previously hired to kill Vex's family), and Magmatron. He tells them to find the royal children and bring their parents' life cores to him, claiming that he will reward them.
Morando then enters the room Zadra was imprisoned in and tries to convince her to be his lieutenant. However, Zadra refuses, so he briefly tortures her before leaving. Soon, Zadra and Izita, who were in the room, escape, and Zadra becomes a member of the Resistance as a spy in Morando's forces.
After Zadra becomes the new General of the Taylon Phalanx with Morando as "King", the latter easily takes control of Akiridion-5 while many Akiridions protest that he was never the rightful king. He then asks Loth Saborian about the status of the OMEN project. Although Loth claims that it is difficult, Morando threatens to kill him if there are any more delays. When Morando sees that the first OMEN is ready, he announces that the age of OMEN has begun. He orders it to go across Akiridion-5, and kill all the rebels. After the first OMEN was made, Morando makes sure no one worships the royals by having the blanks and soldiers give the Akiridions a final warning, with a child among them. Then, Morando realizes that Zadra was a traitor, and orders the Omen to go after them. Zadra then flees to Earth, to Aja and Krel.
It is after these events that, due to Aja and Krel having escaped to Earth, Morando's actions have partly influenced the story of the first human Trollhunter, Jim Lake Jr., as the former two had to flee from his coup back in Akiridion-5. Aja and krel manage to help Jim with his third ingredient for Merlin's list, which, in turn, helps Jim with slaying Gunmar as he had to become a half-troll to stop Gunmar and couldn't win against him if he remained a human, as Merlin stated.
After being defeated by Aja and Krel, the Zeron Alpha shows Morando the location of the royals: planet Earth. The OMEN is then sent by Morando to eliminate the royals, and as the ancient witch Morgana creates the Eternal Night to rule the Earth partly thanks to Bellroc and Skrael's corrupting influence, Morando uses this opportunity to use the OMEN he sent to take King Fialkov and Queen Coranda's cores. However, Aja arrives to stop the OMEN. While the OMEN tries to hack Mother and fly, Aja tries to fight the OMEN. Morando taunts Aja, saying that if she destroys the OMEN, she'll also destroy the King and Queen. The OMEN ends up putting on a self-destruct sequence, and Aja tries to stop the OMEN while it tries to kill her. Morando then puts the footage in front of all of Akiridion-5, having them watch as the OMEN ruthlessly tries to kill Aja.
Unfortunately for Morando, however, Krel ends up fixing Mother, and the OMEN is switched off. Before that, Morando orders Loth to switch off the video, but the latter tells him that it is impossible. As this happens, Aja and Krel give a speech from Earth to Akiridion-5, inspiring hope against Morando. However, the OMEN switches back on but is destroyed by Mother's gears. Having enough of this, Morando plans to come to Earth personally to end House Tarron.
Learning of Gaylen's Core[]

Following this, Morando has hundreds of more OMENs to help him and the Taylon Phalanx oppress Akiridion-5 even further. Because of this, his right-hand, Loth Saborian, redeems himself after seeing the horrible acts Morando has done, so he warns the Royals that Morando has created more OMENs. After having more of the OMENs created, Morando tries to send an armada to destroy Earth, but Krel makes a video game that gets linked to the parking security drones to destroy Morando's fleet. Aja manages to get Mary Wang to make Krel's game go viral, as it'll keep their summer from becoming boring.
As the game goes viral, hundreds of citizens in Arcadia start playing the game, with them unknowingly helping protect Akiridion-5 from Morando as they are linked to the parking security drones combating his fleet. However, Go Go Sushi 2: Wasabi's Revenge becomes the more popular game as it has recently come out. Unfortunately for the Royals, the citizens of Arcadia switch to the new game, causing hundreds of parking drones to be destroyed. Despite this, Eli Pepperjack is the only human who continues to play Krel's game and uses the last parking drone to critically damage Morando's main vessel, even though his parking drone is destroyed in the process by one of Morando's ships. A furious Morando then rages that they were defeated by parking drones, ripping off one of his OMENs' heads before having Loth triple the bounty for Aja and Krel.
After the defeat, Loth Soborian, who actually was working with the Resistance since the day the first OMEN got destroyed, tries to give a chip, which contains information that Seklos and Gaylen were real and that Gaylen's Core is on Earth, to a member of the Resistance. However, Morando has one of his OMENs capture the rebel and force him to give him the chip, before having the OMEN drop the rebel off of the balcony. He then arrests Loth instead of having him killed, but only because he could still prove to be useful to him.
When Tronos Madu gets captured by Colonel Kubritz, who said that he can have their remains after she kills them and not him, Morando makes a hologram projection with her, saying that like her, he seeks to eliminate Aja and Krel. Later, Gwendolyn contacts Morando about the royals being in Arcadia after pretending to be reformed, who asks him if she should pursue the Royals, but he tells her that it is unnecessary, as he is preparing something that is far worse.
After the call, Morando makes an asteroid that is the size of Arcadia and launches it at Arcadia and the entire Western Seaboard so he can lure the Royals into a trap prepared by Kubritz in her military station of Area 49-B. Using the asteroid as a distraction although the Royals manage to destroy the asteroid and escape Area 49-B, Morando and dozens of his OMENs arrive on Earth, where he meets Kubritz, who said that the asteroid nearly destroyed them. However, Morando reveals that the asteroid was a necessary diversion and makes a deal with her, promising that he will give her the technology to wipe out extraterrestrials off of the Earth.

Morando is then invited into Area 49-B by Kubritz, who gives him a tour of the military base. Upon finding Tronos's cell, he asks Sergeant Costas to let him enter, despite the fact that the latter doesn't trust him. He uses his charisma to release Tronos from his cell, only for him to painfully stab him with his red serrator and vaporize him to his death for his failure, leaving nothing but armor behind. Due to a wormhole that Luug ate, he and Aja accidentally teleport to the military station. There, she fights Morando, who taunts her about being far more formidable than an OMEN and reminding her that he cut the King and Queen down to their cores. Luckily, Aja ends up making Luug fart and teleport back to the Mothership, much to Morando's disgust.
After that, Morando orders the OMENs to go to the Mothership. Colonel Kubritz asks him about giving her technology to protect Earth, but Morando tells her that the OMENs are too important for a human to command. However, he keeps her under his manipulation by telling her that he will give them back to him after they succeed. Upon arriving, Morando orders the Royals to surrender, only for Krel to lash out and tell him that he regrets his existence. Out of disappointment, Morando orders his OMENs to disable the shields. Aja then calls Buster to knock them away, but from his ship, Morando comments that he never liked bugs, and uses his lasers to gruesomely blow up Buster to his death.
As he approaches the Mothership, Kubritz blasts the door open so he could enter it easier. Upon entering, Morando orders his OMENs to delete Mother. However, she fakes her death and transfers herself into one of his OMENs. Morando then duels in a fight with Varvatos. During the fight, Morando taunts Vex by using his family's death and reminding him that he could've proven to be one of his greatest soldiers, but Vex ends up lashing out once more when he says that he already knew Morando ordered the Zeron Brotherhood bomb Satellite-Nine to kill his family. However, Morando wins the duel and shoots him several times before deciding to force him to watch as he kills his new family: Aja and Krel. He then enters the Totality where King Fialkov and Queen Coranda's memories are kept so he can find the location of Gaylen's Core. The OMEN that is possessed by Mother ends up rescuing the Royals inside and makes sure that they went inside the Totality.
Final Attack on the Tarrons[]

Upon entering the Totality, Morando ends up in the memory where the King and Queen were discussing if Aja and Krel were ready to rule, right before destroying said memory. When Aja and Krel venture into the memory of the King and Queen giving Gaylen's Core to Vendel and Kanjigar to keep it safe in Heartstone Trollmarket, Morando attacks them and tries to kill them, claiming that he doesn't need to be a king because he can become a god instead. Fortunately, the King and Queen attack him, and Morando is sent back to the real world. Now getting the info he needed, Morando tries to destroy the stasis chamber and disable the shields Mother enabled. To repair it, Mother risks her own life to reroute all power to the chamber, and in turn, deletes herself forever.
Back in Area 49-B, Morando gives Kubritz an advanced battle suit that can rid any extraterrestrial forces in her way, before lying that he will insert Gaylen's Core into the suit when he comes back. Kubritz then reveals that her predecessors knew about trolls, and proves it by showing the start of Morgana forming the Eternal Night. Because of this, Morando takes some OMENs with him and tries to enter Trollmarket. While the gang enters by using a Horngazel, Morando ends up being left outside as the portal closes in time. With reference to the footage of Morgana creating the Eternal Night, Morando tells his OMENs that they can use their lasers to enter from above the ground, so they use their lasers to drill a hole into Trollmarket. There, Morando and his OMENs briefly combat the Royals before Varvatos tosses him into one of Trollmarket's mechanisms.
When Krel enters the Deep to follow Kanjigar's spirit, he faces his deepest fear in a vision where Morando destroys all of Arcadia and murders all of Krel's friends and family. However, Krel manages to outcome his fear, and the Deep's defenses are lifted. As that happens, Morando enters the Hero's Forge and tries to claim Gaylen's Core. When Krel and AAARRRGGHH!!! unlock the gate to Gaylen's Core, Morando tries to enter the forge, but they close it just in time.
Despite being locked out of the chamber where Gaylen's Core is kept, Morando eventually manages to break in. As he climbs the crystal stacking, he duels with Aja and Krel. Morando ends up succeeding at getting Gaylen's Core and orders his OMENs to fire at the tower, causing it to collapse on Vex, Toby, Krel, AAARRRGGHH!!!, and Aja, who was protected by Varvatos's force shield.
Before absorbing Gaylen’s Core, Morando explains his plan to destroy not just the galaxy, but the universe, and reshape it in his image. Kubritz then threatens Costas due to him warning her that her deal with Morando was like a deal with the Devil. By this act, Costas reforms, and helps Stuart rebuild the exact same gun Seklos used to defeat Gaylen, which is Seklos's Cannon. Around the same time, Morando ends up becoming a gigantic being and absorbs its powers before posthaste heading to Arcadia. When Aja ends up making Kubritz see her mistakes, the latter realizes that Morando was never going to keep his promises to her, and tries to help them kill Morando, only for him to crush and kill her in the inferno of an exploding car.

After this, Morando chases Aja and Krel to the bridge. When Seklos's Cannon is ready, Aja and Krel attempt to use their cores to kill Morando, but King Fialkov and Queen Coranda recover and stop them from doing so. Varvatos Vex tries to shield them, but Morando disables the shields and shoots at him, which nearly kills him. Once the King and Queen sacrifice their lives by using their cores to power the Cannon (which kills them both in the process), Aja and Krel fire the Cannon at Morando, causing him to disintegrate to his death. With Morando dead, Aja, Varvatos, the Akiridions (except Krel), and Eli Pepperjack go to Akiridion-5, while Krel, Steve Palchuck, Toby, and AAARRRGGHH!!! stay back on Earth.
Morando is eventually mentioned indirectly by Steve when he tells Douxie that he and Toby fought a "50-foot extraterrestrial", referring to Morando when he was merged with Gaylen's Core.
