At the Jedi Temple, Skywalker faced the twelve Jedi Masters on the Council with Mace Windu testing Skywalker's abilities by asking him to determine what images were appearing on a testing screen that the Jedi was holding but that the boy could not see.
The Jedi Council acknowledged Skywalker's great power in the Force but refused to train him on account of his age.
When the group entered the Theed hangar bay, Skywalker heeded Jinn's command for him to stay hidden in the cockpit of one of the hangar's N-1 starfighters.
Skywalker fought in the Battle of Naboo in a vicious starfighter battle above the planet.
The Council reluctantly agreed for Kenobi to begin Skywalker's training, though they were concerned that Skywalker would be too difficult a student for young Kenobi to handle.

Star Wars: Attack of the Clones[]
Skywalker was reunited with Padmé Amidala whom was delighted to see her after so many years; he had thought about her every day since they parted.
Obi-Wan started to explain that they were only there to protect her life, not to investigate, but Anakin promised Padmé to find who was responsible, annoying Kenobi.
Shortly after, when his master noticed that Skywalker was tired, he admitted that he had constant nightmares about his mother; he also revealed his powerful affection for Amidala.
Skywalker sensed something in Padmé's room and arrived just in time to cut two venomous kouhuns in half, just a few centimeters from the senator's face.
Anakin piloted a speeder, caught Kenobi and continued the pursuit of Wesell's airspeeder who spotted their speeder taking her's on a nosedive — plunging several meters toward the lower levels of Coruscant.
Anakin and Obi-Wan thought they lost her, but just a few minutes later Skywalker noticed the bounty hunter's airspeeder below, and jumped out, letting his body drop the intervening distance through the air.
Skywalker latched a firm hand-grip to its rear canopy handle, ignited his lightsaber and sliced at the windscreen, knocking out the guidance systems.
The airspeeder began to plummet toward the surface, crashing near the Outlander Club, Wesell crawled from the crash site and fled into the club with Anakin giving chase.
Inside the Outlander Club, Anakin was instructed by his master to search the premises while he went for a drink at the bar.
Skywalker and Kenobi took the wounded bounty hunter and dragged her from the club, setting her in an alley behind the club for interrogation with Wesell was initially reluctant to give any information about who had hired her, replying that it had simply been a job but Skywalker pressed her.
After the death of Amidala's would-be assassin, Zam Wesell, Windu and the Council instructed Kenobi to track Wesell's accomplice who evaded capture.
Skywalker was personally assigned to protect and escort Senator Amidala back to her homeworld.
After a second attempt on the senator's life was made, Skywalker was assigned to protect her by the Chancellor.
Palpatine tells Anakin that he sees him becoming the greatest of all the Jedi.
Meeting the Senator in her sleep quarters, Skywalker discusses his master's abilities.

After a meeting with Queen Jamillia, as well as a meal with Amidala's family, she and Anakin took refuge at Varykino, the Naberrie family lake retreat.
While on Naboo, he experienced inner conflict between his strong desires for her and his duties as a Jedi.
Both seemed entranced with the other despite their different social castes.
The two lost their inhibitions and shared their first kiss, but Amidala eventually came to her senses.

Anakin searches for his mother on Tatooine using the Lars' swoop bike.
The voyage to find his mother proved to be a challenge for Skywalker but he received information from a Jawa about a Tusken camp not far from his location.
Anakin travels through the night and finds a Tusken camp.
That night, the young Jedi discovered the Tusken village beyond the B'Thazoshe Bridge where he saw the camp barely illuminated by its campfire and knew that his mother was there.
Quietly, Skywalker proceeded towards one of the tents, locating his mother with his Jedi sense of Force empathy.
Skywalker used his lightsaber to cut a hole through the thick cloth that held the tent together and slipped into the tent that contained his mother.
Anakin encountered a bound and emaciated Shmi, who was near death.
Prior to her death, she managed to tell her son that she was proud of him and that she loved him.
With her final breaths, Shmi managed to whisper her love for him before quietly dying in his arms.
Anakin becomes furious at the death of his mother.
Enraged, Skywalker left his mother's body in the tent, ignited his lightsaber, and killed the two Tuskens guarding the tent.

The sound of the lightsaber alerted more Tuskens who were nearby which caused them to attack Skywalker, flanking several Massiffs as they launched their attack.
Consumed with grief and rage, the Jedi showed no mercy and proceeded in his Tusken massacre not stopping until the entire camp was silent and every man, woman, and child in his path was destroyed.
Anakin returns to the Lars homestead with his mother's body.
Skywalker brought his mother's body back to the homestead.
The rough moment for Skywalker turned when Amidala entered the room where Skywalker was inside the homestead working in the garage.
In his anger and sorrow, he rashly claimed that one day he would have the power to stop people from dying, and that Obi-Wan was jealous of his power, holding him back.
Skywalker deeply grieved for Shmi's death, and confessed to Amidala his massacre of the Tusken Raider village in which his mother had been held captive.
Anakin reveals to Padmé that he killed the entire camp of Tuskens and that he hates them.
When Skywalker told Amidala that he had killed the tribe, he justified his actions at first, Amidala was clearly troubled by what Skywalker had done, but had invested herself too much in him to be truly repulsed and tried to soothe him with sympathy.
Anakin expressed his hate for the Sand People before remembering that he was a Jedi, and he broke down in remorse for killing them and Amidala told him that his emotions made him human, but Skywalker responded that he was a Jedi and was better than that and should be above revenge.
A funeral was held for Shmi Skywalker Lars at the Lars moisture farm on Tatooine.
In front of her grave, Anakin voiced his regret that he could not save her.
Anakin promised not to let anything of the sort happen again as he would become so powerful in the Force he could stop the people he loved from dying.
"I wasn't strong enough to save you, Mom. I wasn't strong enough. But I promise I won't fail again. I miss you...so much."
It was then that Skywalker received a message from Kenobi telling him of Separatist presence on Geonosis, which they re-transmitted to Coruscant so that the Jedi Council could see it for themselves.
Skywalker discovers Kenobi has been taken hostage by the Geonosian-engineered Confederacy of Independent Systems's droid forces.
Mace Windu orders Anakin to protect Amidala at all costs and to stay on Tatooine.
Skywalker was torn over the desire to rescue his master yet also protect the senator, but Amidala decided to help Skywalker by traveling to Geonosis, forcing Skywalker to accompany her.
Skywalker and Amidala departed Tatooine and arrived at the planet Geonosis.
Anakin and Padmé make their way there to rescue Obi-Wan.
Once on the planet, Skywalker and Amidala infiltrated the droid foundries.

The pair were subsequently captured and placed with Kenobi into the Petranaki arena to be executed.
When Kenobi enquired them as to why they were present, Skywalker explained Amidala's idea to rescue him, with Kenobi sarcastically congratulating them for the failed objective.
Amidala, Skywalker and Kenobi were individually chained to three stone pillars.
The execution of Amidala, Skywalker, and Kenobi was to be carried out by several creatures brought into the arena: a reek, an acklay, and a nexu with Skywalker commenting that he has a bad feeling about this.
With Anakin captured, a reek was selected along with an acklay and a nexu to be the animals used to execute the three.
Skywalker watches as the nexu attacked Amidala, roaring and climbing the pillar she was on.
Because of it being deprived of its herbivorous diet, it was extremely aggressive and attacked Skywalker who managed to avoid its horns.
Skywalker wraps his chains around the reek trying to submit it.
Anakin broke his chains and rode the reek around the arena.
Anakin loses his balance and falls off the reek who drags him in the sands.
Skywalker used animal bond to calm a reek in the Petranaki arena.
Skywalker used the Force to tame a ravenous reek.
Anakin managed to avoid the creatures, a reek and jumps on it again to tame it.
Skywalker wraps his chains around the reek bringing the creature under his control.
Anakin managed to escape from his chains and fought back against the creatures with Skywalker being able to tame the reek.
Padmé climbed back up her pillar but thanks to Anakin and the reek, she was saved, as Anakin rammed the reek into the nexu.
Amidala jumped down and joined Skywalker in his efforts to escape the arena, kissing him on the cheek.
Anakin directed it against a nexu attacking Padmé Amidala, killing the smaller predator with a ramming attack.
Anakin rode the reek with Amidala and rescued Obi-Wan.
Kenobi, Skywalker, and Amidala eventually managed to fight off the wild beasts sent to kill them and turn the field to their advantage.
The three managed to mostly control the three creatures deployed to kill them.
Amidala, Kenobi and Skywalker escaped the executions only to be surrounded by droidekas on Count Dooku's orders.
Skywalker tamed the reek set to attack him but they were surrounded by droidekas.
The three captives, Skywalker, Amidala and Kenobi managed to avoid the beasts that had been set upon them long enough for Master Windu's 212 Jedi rescue mission team to arrive.
Armed with an extra lightsaber, Nicanas Tassu was assigned to arm the two captured Jedi with the help of fellow Jedi Sephjet Josall; rushing the arena floor, Josall and Tassu were able to pass on their spare weapons to Kenobi and Skywalker.
Anakin uses his borrowed green lightsaber to cut Obi-Wan's chains.
When the Geonosis strike team arrived and helped the three prisoners, the reek bucked its three riders off and went around the arena.
Skywalker took up a green lightsaber and fought the droids alongside Amidala.

A full-out battle erupted, and though Amidala had been wounded by one of the creatures, she also grabbed a blaster and fought side by side with the Jedi.

Anakin and Padmé together fought in the First Battle of Geonosis, where Amidala again proved herself rather good in combat and sufficient with a blaster.
A destroyer droid kills the orray that Anakin and Amidala rode throwing them down.

Anakin asks Padmé if she would call this battle a diplomatic solution but she states she calls it aggressive negotiations.
The Jedi remaining were herded into the center of the arena, having taken huge casualties.
The surviving Jedi were surrounded by the battle droids and eventually Dooku signaled for a cessation of the fight.
Despite the bravery of the Jedi, Dooku's droids held the upper hand, and with the last of the surviving Jedi surrounded he called a halt to the fighting.
Of the two hundred Jedi who had arrived, only a few were left and the situation seemed lost.
Dooku offered the Jedi the chance to surrender, with Plo Koon and Ki-Adi-Mundi join Skywalker and Amidala.
Windu refused to allow himself and the other Jedi to be used as bartering tools.
Dooku then apologetically ordered the surrounding droids to slaughter the Jedi who braced themselves with their lightsabers.
At that point, Master Yoda arrived with the newly christened Grand Army of the Republic, and the Battle of Geonosis began in earnest.
Skywalker and the Jedi were saved by the sudden arrival of Master Yoda and a regiment of Clone troopers aboard LAAT/i gunships.
The clones created a perimeter around the survivors long enough for them to board and escape.
The newly discovered Clone Army arrived to rescue the Jedi, and the trio were airlifted out of the arena.
Skywalker, Kenobi, and Amidala rode in a Republic gunship.
Anakin orders the clone pilot to aim up the fuel cells of Separatist power towers.
Kenobi, Skywalker, and Amidala all jumped onto a Republic gunship and proceeded to join the main battle.
The battle raged between the clone army and the Separatist Droid Army with the Republic managing to cripple a freighter.
The Jedi then spotted Count Dooku fleeing from the battle, flanked by two Nantex-class starfighters.
Skywalker ordered the gunship's pilot to chase him.
Amidala was knocked out of the gunship by a laser blast from one of the starfighters.
Dooku's wing guard of fighters piloted by Geonosians opened fire on the gunship; the resulting attack on the gunship led to Amidala and a clone trooper falling to the desert below.
Kenobi was forced to restrain his Padawan from going back after the senator.
While Skywalker protested that they should not leave Amidala behind, Kenobi persuaded him that they had a mission.
Anakin angered when Obi-Wan berates him about his personal feelings.
The gunship continued to pursue Count Dooku.
The clones dropped Kenobi and Skywalker into the Count's hangar shortly before being blasted out of the sky by laser fire.
Upon arriving at Dooku's hangar, Kenobi and Skywalker confronted the Count.
Kenobi and Skywalker challenged Dooku.
Kenobi instructs that they should take him together.
As Kenobi began to strategize, Skywalker, his anger getting the best of him, charged at Dooku.
Dooku released a barrage of Force lightning and blasted Skywalker aside.

Skywalker was hurled against a wall as Dooku incapacitated him.
It was the Padawan's undoing as he was knocked unconscious and left Kenobi to face Dooku alone.
As Skywalker recovered, he witnessed Dooku raising his lightsaber to deliver the final blow against the fallen Kenobi.
Skywalker, calling upon the Force, leaped into the path of Dooku's lightsaber, blocking it with his own, saving his Master's life in the process.
Dooku turned to regard Skywalker and mocked him for his earlier foolishness, and as the two opponents disengaged.
Kenobi used the Force to reclaim his fallen lightsaber and threw it to Skywalker.
Skywalker ignited the second blade and unleashed a flurry of Jar'Kai bladework upon the Count.
Skywalker, taking up the second blade, began to unleash of flurry of broad Form IV attacks, briefly taking the Count off his guard.
Taking up his fallen master's weapon, Skywalker unleashed a flurry of attacks, which caught Dooku off guard at first.
The Count quickly reestablished his footing and pushed Skywalker back, taking the advantage when he cut apart the hilt of Skywalker's green blade.
After losing his extra weapon, Skywalker launched two quick strikes at the Count and retreated.
Dooku then slowly advanced on Skywalker and both angled their blades into a high guard position.
Slashing a power cable connected to Dooku's ship as he raised his blade into a high guard, Skywalker caused a short circuit that briefly caused the hangar lights to flicker.
Both spent a short time regarding each other in silence.
The two engaged in a relatively long flurry of swordplay.
Forced to switch back to his preferred style of Form V, Skywalker and Dooku engaged in a brutal display of swordplay.
Skywalker managed in that time to hold his own against the Count.
Briefly breaking off, Dooku quickly reassessed Anakin's strength before quickly attacking, and the duel resumed.
Despite holding his own against Dooku for much of the duel, Skywalker was finally brought down.
Dooku unceremoniously ended the duel by twirling and sliced off Anakin's right arm above the elbow.
The young Jedi skidded over to where Kenobi was also lying and lost consciousness.

Star Wars: Clone Wars[]
With the onset of the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker started on his way to becoming a legendary hero.
Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead clone trooper forces into battle.

Yoda admits Skywalker is powerful, and begins to make another statement, but he is interrupted by Palpatine, who decides for the group that Skywalker will indeed go.
Young Skywalker enters his Azure Angel and takes off with the rest of Kenobi's army.

As a result of giving into his anger once again, Anakin took yet another step closer to the dark side of the Force.
This had only been accomplished, though, by tapping into his anger.

Skywalker then commandeered Ventress' Ginivex-class starfighter and returned to Muunilinst.
After the duel, Skywalker returned to Muunilinst in Ventress's fighter and was scolded by Kenobi for his hotheadedness.
Skywalker exits the starfighter, apologizing for his disobedience and confirming the chase had been a Sith trap.
Skywalker smugly states he emerged victorious against the dark side assassin.

Kenobi reminds his Padawan that he is no longer a child but must still follow his Master's orders.

This saddens Kenobi visibly and Skywalker immediately regrets his hurtful comment, and apologizes.
Master Kenobi forgives his student thus confessing that he misses their old friend and mentor Qui-Gon too.
Obi-Wan tells Anakin that he had done his best to pass on Qui-Gon's teachings to him.
Kenobi states that the time had come to leave their roles as master and student behind and become brothers.
The Padawan was summoned to the next level of the Tower: the Hall of Knighthood.

Entering into the darkened chamber, Skywalker smiles at his master knowing what was to come.

The Padawan would kneel in the center of the room as the Masters present ignited their lightsabers in a ring around the student.
Yoda decided to have him Knighted in a secret ceremony.
Reciting the ancient passages used in the traditional ceremony, the Grand Master would lower their lightsaber to just above each of the Padawan's shoulders.

A scout battle droid reports that Jedi are approaching — and the general is surprised to discover they number only two: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker.

Kenobi and Skywalker avoided the fort's defensive weaponry batteries and infiltrated the facility.
Once inside, the Jedi disabled the structure's ray shield, rendering the fortress and all forces within vulnerable to an attack on Bomis Koori IV.
In a space battle, Saesee Tiin was saved from death by the timely arrival of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, who destroyed the droids with his starfighter's laser cannons.
After saving Tiin, Skywalker, flanked by several of the battle group's ARC-170 starfighters, took out other tri-fighter droids near the Venator-class Star Destroyers.
Skywalker appeared, and destroyed one of the LM-432 crab droids by cutting off its leg with his lightsaber.
Skywalker then threw that leg into the second droid, destroying it as well.
Anakin soon appeared, cutting through the force of droids with his lightsaber.
Skywalker cut through the remaining two droids and used the Force to free his fellow Jedi, who cheered at the young Jedi's exploits.
Skywalker's starfighter lands on Naboo, and he and Padmé Amidala have a moment.
Padmé sees his face scar for the first time and they proceed to spend the night together.

While their clone troopers continued their bombardment of the shield above ground, the two Jedi made their way through the sewers.

From there, they made their way to the shield generator chamber and Skywalker wants to fight the droids, but Kenobi simply blows up the shield generator by using small spherical bombs and pointing out that there are alternatives to fighting.
As the shield generator blows up, Skywalker and Kenobi dive into the waters avoiding the explosion.
With the shield down, Skywalker and Kenobi exited the city, leaving Commander Cody to lead a full scale attack including Clone jet troopers and All Terrain Recon Transports with Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighters providing aerial support.
As the Republic forces were preparing to depart aboard Acclamator-class assault ships and Venator-class Star Destroyers, Kenobi and Skywalker received an urgent HoloNet transmission from Coruscant.
On the conquered battlefront, Kenobi and Skywalker receive an urgent message from Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Mace Windu on Coruscant.
Master Windu states they must end this conflict at its source which Skywalker responds is Grievous.
The Chancellor responded that Grievous had been spotted on a number of different worlds.
The two Jedi were dispatched to ascertain what interest the Separatists had in the Outer Rim world.
Kenobi's battle fleet arrives in the system, where they detect no enemy forces on the planet surface, but find the planet in the grip of a sudden ice age, accompanied by some strange geothermal readings.
Deciding that the readings were worth investigation, Skywalker, Kenobi, and a small force of clone troopers landed on the planet's surface via CR-20 troop carrier.

The two Jedi noticed that several of the planet's creatures were startled, and not by the Republic incursion.

A giant horax suddenly burst through the trees, killing the clone troopers with ease and attacks Anakin.
Skywalker, lightsaber at the ready, slashed into one of the creature's feet.
Skywalker briefly whisks away from the horax creature cape billowing in the air.
The enraged horax charges toward the Jedi in blind fury.
Despite Kenobi's warning, Skywalker kills the Horax single-handed.
Anakin plunges his weapon into the horax's head.
Once the dust of battle had cleared, however, a group of Nelvaanians emerged, incensed at Skywalker's actions.
The Jedi were brought to the village of Rokrul on the Nelvaanian mounts.
Skywalker and the Nelvaanian tribe ride banthas towards the village.
Upon arrival, Skywalker and Kenobi noted that there were only women and children — no men in sight.
The chieftain, Tuzes-Adaz, led the Jedi into a cave where they met with an elder Nelvaanian, Orvos.
It became evident to Kenobi, who could understand the Nelvaanese, that Skywalker had interrupted Tuzes-Adaz's son's rite of passage by slaying the horax.
Orvos then spoke, and although Kenobi was unsure of his translation, he informed Skywalker that he would have to "journey into fire," a prospect that startled the young Jedi.
That night, the Jedi joined the Nelvaanians in gathering around a camp fire for a ceremony conducted by Orvos.
Orvos threw some of his powders into the fire, and the smoke formed the figure of a hand — the Nelvaanese "Holt Kazed" which Kenobi suddenly pulled Skywalker's right glove off, revealing the prosthetic replacement limb.
Skywalker was taken back into Orvos' cave, where bruise-leech crawlers were applied to his torso, arms, and face.
As the crawlers etched markings across Skywalker's body, Orvos instructed him on the path to choose, which was delivered in the form of cryptic sayings (metaphors) about the "mother's cry" (wind), "mother's tears" (rivers), "mother's mouth" (underworld cave) and "her inner flame" (subterranean forces).
Saddling his riding beast the next morning, Skywalker was approached by Kenobi, who informed him that his journey would serve as his final Jedi Trial, the Trial of the Spirit he had yet to face.
Skywalker, confident, assured his former master that he would not fail in his task.
As he moved deeper into the Nelvaanian wilderness, he remembered the first of Ovrvos' instructions: "you must follow the wind, for it is the mother's cry."
Doing so, Skywalker was led to a frozen river, which then followed in accordance with the next instruction, "travel her tears; they are frozen with fear" this in turn led the young Jedi to a cave, which correlated with Orvos' third and final instruction: "enter the mother's mouth, to awake her inner flame."
Dismounting from his riding beast, Skywalker explored the cave on foot, narrowly avoiding dangerous steam vents.

As he cleared the steam that enshrouded the cave, he noticed that the walls were covered with Nelvaanian markings, depicting their culture suddenly, Skywalker began to experience a powerful vision through the Force.
As the vision moved into its final stage, Skywalker heard Amidala's voice cry out his name then Darth Vader appears in a cave drawing on Nelvaan.
Before he was sharply thrust back into reality.
When he awoke, Skywalker found himself on the edge of a large cavern, facing a gargantuan siphon generator of Confederate make, one which kept the planet shrouded in eternal winter.
Skywalker makes his way into the complex by climbing.
Climbing the cavern wall, Skywalker found himself in a Confederate installation, buried deep in the Nelvaanian rock.
Clandestinely infiltrating the facility, Skywalker overheard several of its Skakoan overseers discussing "experiments" initiated by Grievous.
Anakin soon chanced upon several Nelvaan warriors, stored in tanks, mutated to greatly increased sizes, and with blaster cannons in replacing their right arms.
The young Jedi then moved into the area in which the Nelvaanians were mutated — and watched on as the Techno Union scientists had an untainted Nelvaanian, named Harvos, prepared for the trans-formative process.
As the Nelvaanian's tank began to fill with the chemicals, Skywalker leaped into action, dispatching the droids guarding the area.
The engineer responded by activating a squad of the mutant Nelvaanians.
As they approached Skywalker and raised their weapons, the young Jedi pleaded for them to stop, as he did not wish to inflict any harm upon them.
Nonetheless, the mutated warriors opened fire on Skywalker, and he was forced to defend himself.
Anakin tries to fight off the Nelvaan mutants without hurting them.
Anakin sent them flying around the room with Force pushes.
The Jedi freed Nelvaan warriors, though the men initially turned to attack Skywalker.
Harvos, who was still being mutated at the time, was enraged by the plight of his fellow Nelvaanians, and broke out of the tank of his own accord.
Tackling one of his mutated tribesmen, Harvos pulled a strapped-on device off the Nelvaanian's chest, pulling them out of their mind-controlled stupor.
Harvos attempted to explain this to Skywalker, but he failed to catch on so Harvos demonstrated once more, and it was all the prompt the young Jedi needed to take his lightsaber to the devices, swiftly and surely subduing all of the mutants.
Skywalker cuts the rest of the cybernetic chestplates off with his lightsaber.
His tribesmen freed, Harvos instructed them to run rampant through the Confederate base.
Harvos pointed out to Skywalker the crystal in the middle of an energy chamber powering the installation. Immediately understanding the Nelvaanian, the young Jedi set about his new task.
Hurtling through the base, demolishing enemy droids as he went, Skywalker climbed to the top of the base's interior.

Other explosions rocked all around the base, and Skywalker narrowly avoided death by nimbly leaping away to safety.
Emerging from a fault in the ground, Skywalker saw the Skakoan engineers fleeing towards their Hardcell-class transport.

Incensed by what he had witnessed in the base, the young Jedi sent the Skakoans flying using the truncated stump of his arm and the Force, pushing them off ravines and away from their escape craft.

However, struggling with an ounce of his life, the head Skakoan attempted to pull his blaster on Skywalker, but the young Jedi, hearing the click of the blaster, rounded on him with a Force choke, damaging his pressure suit and causing his body to decompress.

Seeing Skywalker's ravaged arm, the Nelvaan mutants worship him as "Holt Kezed" — "ghost hand" — their savior, and in solidarity they tear the implanted weapons from their own arms.
The Nelvaanians, seeing their savior bereft of his "ghost hand," pulled off their cannon-equipped replacement arms, mimicking Skywalker's new found disability they then saluted him, chanting "Holt Kazed" repeatedly.
Skywalker and the Nelvaanians return to the village.
Upon their return, their appearance startled the Nelvaanian women, but when Harvos' child recognized him, despite his gross mutation, the returned warriors were reconciled with their families which saddened Skywalker.
As the Nelvaanians celebrated that night, Skywalker opted to watch on, and Kenobi wished to discuss his experiences in the cave.
The young Jedi vaguely deflected the question, however, and questioned whether or not the Nelvaanians would ever be able to recover and Kenobi believed that they would, as long as they accepted themselves for what they were.
R2-D2 helps Skywalker repair his new arm.
Anakin, however, was well at ease with his mechno-arm, and tinkered with it adding strengthened alloy ligaments and armored shielding to bulk up his spindly robotic arm, giving the appearance of a well-muscled arm to match the rest of his toned body.
Anakin covered his new mechanical arm with a black glove.
Obi-Wan tells Anakin the most difficult trial a Jedi must face is to look inside oneself.
R2-D2 alerts Skywalker and Kenobi of an urgent message from Coruscant.
Onboard the frigate, Kenobi and Skywalker received a transmission from Jedi Master Mace Windu who announces that Coruscant was under siege and Grievous has captured Palpatine.
Anakin and Obi-Wan shocked by these turn of events.
Master Windu orders the Jedi to return immediately to Coruscant and must rescue Palpatine.

After subduing her, Skywalker brought Offee to the Republic military base where Tano was being judged where the Mirialan Padawan confessed.
Skywalker and the Council apologized to Tano and invited her back into the Order, with Skywalker offering her severed Padawan braid.
Despite Skywalker's heartfelt protests, Tano left Skywalker and the Order behind.
Anakin watches as his former Padawan continues down the Temple steps, and disappears from sight.
Skywalker, alongside Jedi Generals Tiplar and Tiplee, were sent to take control of Ringo Vinda's planet-wide station back from Admiral Trench.
Skywalker and the others the boarded the shuttle and took out Kraken's crew, including Kraken himself, who refused to reveal why they had abducted Tup.
Kix told Anakin and Rex that Fives wanted to meet the two at a warehouse in Level 1325.
As Anakin and Rex entered the warehouse, they dropped their weapons on Fives' request and after doing so, they were encircled by a ray shield, which prompted Skywalker to question Fives' actions, but he and Rex listened to the fugitive's side of the story.

Upon his wife's mission to Scipio and subsequent reencounter with Rush Clovis, when she was accused of sabotage and her aide Teckla Minnau was killed, Skywalker was sent to protect Amidala, but was upset to hear that Clovis was involved.
As Embo takes aim at Amidala, Skywalker senses the danger and deflects his shots with his lightsaber.
Later that night, Skywalker went to his wife's apartment, where he found Clovis about to kiss her, for which Skywalker briefly Force choked him.
Clovis challenges him to fight without his "Jedi tricks", and the two engage in a vicious hand-to-hand fight as Padmé begs them to stop.
Skywalker was then sent to retake Scipio and after landing, he went to Clovis's office where the head bemoans that his reputation will be ruined by these events, but Clovis takes Padmé hostage.
A vulture droid crashed into the office, making it unstable and causing Amidala and Clovis to fall but Skywalker only rescued Padmé who apologizes to Anakin about their fight and he forgives her with open arms.
On Oba Diah, Kenobi and Skywalker met Lom Pyke, who denied any involvement until Kenobi noticed that he was wearing the crest of Valorum and Skywalker grabbed the necklace and told the Pyke to "stop playing games."
Lom finally complied with the Jedi, and told them that they had been paid by a man called Tyranus to shoot Sifo-Dyas' shuttle down.
Anakin and Obi-Wan engage Dooku in combat where Lom reveals that the man called Tyranus is really Count Dooku.
Dooku kills Lom and duels Anakin for a short time before defeating him and managing to escape.
Upon Yoda's brief contact with Qui-Gon Jinn, Yoda requested that Skywalker meet him on the Temple's training grounds to speak about their experience on Mortis, where both he and Kenobi had spoken to Jinn.
Yoda asked Anakin to help him escape, which Skywalker did. by accompanying Yoda to his fighter, Skywalker even lent R2-D2 to Yoda to accompany him on a journey.
Yoda awoke in a Republic attack gunship with Anakin and members of the 501st Legion, en route to terminate the Sith on Coruscant.
As they arrived, Skywalker, the clones lead by Captain Rex, rushed at Dooku.
Skywalker immediately attacked Dooku and a dismayed Yoda witnessed Skywalker brutally decapitate Dooku.
Yoda is soon joined by Anakin, but the young Jedi is incapacitated by Sidious' Force choke and lightning.

Skywalker was dispatched alongside Windu to participate in the Battle of Anaxes to defend the Republic shipyards.
On Anaxes, Skywalker, Rex and Clone Sergeant "Hunter" gaze at the Venator-class Star Destroyers.
After returning to Fort Anaxes, Rex reported the news of Echo's survival and proposed a mission to rescue him with Skywalker deciding to come along as well.
Once in private, Anakin puts a holoprojector on the floor and contacts his wife, Padmé Amidala telling her he is worried that Rex is letting his personal feelings drive him too much on the mission but she offers words of wisdom before bidding farewell they say they love each other.
When Obi-Wan Kenobi arrived to attempt to inform Skywalker that the Council had not approved the mission, Skywalker talked over him and made it clear he intended to carry out the mission anyways, which Kenobi revealis that he knows what Anakin was up to and prompting a brief displeased look from him.
Rex, Anakin and the Bad Batch land on the fog-covered Skako Minor where they are quickly greeted by the locals Poletecs that worship massive reptilian beasts called keeradaks.
In Purkoll, Force 99 manages to trace Echo's signal to a tower; shortly later, they are joined by Anakin and Rex with Tech opening the door and they take a lift to the top, despite Wrecker's reluctance.
Wrecker unhesitatingly charged ahead and began smashing and shooting the droids, shortly followed by the rest of his squad; this caused Rex to quip to Skywalker about the lack of stealth.
Elsewhere in the facility, Skywalker and Crosshair destroyed the D-wing air support droids they had encountered before setting off to rejoin the others.
When Tech finally finished the decryption, Rex unplugged the last three cables connecting Echo to the lab's computers and pointed out a ventilation hatch in the ceiling that the team could use to get out.
Skywalker declined an assist and used the Force to assist his jump into the shaft and he levitated Wrecker towards the shaft pulling him safely inside.
In the ventilation and coolant ducts, Echo directed the team's route.
When they reach a door, Echo points the way across a long narrow pipe which leads to a building with a landing pad.
Echo's escape route, however, required the team to cross a long, narrow pipe to another building that contained a landing pad.
When the team was about halfway down the pipe, they found themselves trapped as they were located by D-wing droids that converged upon them from both ends of the pipe, and repelling them would be difficult.
Tech comes up with a way out by using a recording he took earlier to summon several keeradaks to escape on, and the entire party leaps onto the flying reptiles with Skywalker riding one by himself and the clones split up between three of the creatures.
The chief was angered that the Republic team had broken their word, and Rex, agreeing that he was right, managed to persuade the Poletecs to help them by pointing out what the Techno Union had done to Echo.
Skywalker, Crosshair and Echo took up positions atop a large spire of rock that projected over the village.
Skywalker leapt from the spire and landed atop one Octuptarra droid quickly disarming his target by cutting off its three turrets.
Skywalker then cut off one of the legs of the other droid, leapt off, and Force-pushed it into the blinded droid, causing both Octuptarras to fall over.
Back at the village, the Poletec chief praises the bravery and valor of Skywalker and the clone troopers, telling them that they would always have an ally on Skako Minor.
Following the skirmish, Skywalker, Rex, and Clone Force 99 returned to Fort Anaxes, where Windu and Kenobi talk about their plan to retake Anaxes from the Separatists.
Skywalker, Rex, Echo, and the Bad Batch depart for their mission aboard the Havoc Marauder'; while flying to the Separatist fleet, Wrecker moans about being sent on another "stealth mission."
Echo along with Tech and Anakin infiltrate the dreadnought's interface unit and put their plan into action.
Echo advises the Admiral to mobilize all troops to the assembly plant, and Anakin then informs Windu and Kenobi about Echo's plan, which they attribute to Skywalker.
Admiral Trench orders an assault on Anaxes and sends more troops to deal with the clone infiltrators and attempts to exit the command bridge but is blocked by Anakin.
Skywalker went to the dreadnought's bridge to confront Trench, destroying his droid bodyguards in the process.
Skywalker strikes down his tactical droid and several BX-series droid commandos with his lightsaber.
Anakin then demands that Trench reveal the final number in the sequence to disarm the bomb.
In response, Skywalker severs his left set of arms and reiterates his demand.
Skywalker amputated Trench's prosthetic attachments, prompting the Harch to immediately give in but Trench attacks Skywalker with his right set of arms.
In response, Anakin thrust his lightsaber through the Harch's chest, killing him.
Before exiting the command bridge, Anakin steals the remote detonator.
Elsewhere on the dreadnought, the clones fight back against countless battle droids and meet up with Skywalker.
Having accomplished their mission, the clones escape with Skywalker on the Marauder and after they depart, Wrecker uses the remote detonator to blow up Trench's dreadnought and several surrounding warships.
Trace enters a military lane despite Ahsoka's warning and are soon hailed by an orbiting Venator-class Star Destroyer; Trace wants to answer it but Ahsoka advises against it, warning the sisters not to do anything suspicious.
Aboard the bridge of the Star Destroyer, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker asks who was on that transport.
Anakin closes his eyes and senses Ahsoka's presence through the Force.
Skywalker decides not to send a detachment to arrest the crew, allowing Ahsoka and her companions to leave.
During the final days of the war, Skywalker and Kenobi were sent to Yerbana to take down the Separatist forces in the planet.
While Kenobi and Commander Cody were taking cover from the blasts, Skywalker stepped in and convinced his Master to follow his plan.

Leaving cover, Skywalker walked out in to the open while the droids continued to fire at the 212th, easily avoiding all of the shots fired at him.
As the super tactical droid emerged from hiding, he realized Skywalker's trick and ordered his units to open fire once more, but before they could do anything else, Skywalker ordered his troops to attack and pulled the tactical droid towards him using the Force, slicing his head off with his lightsaber.
Anakin allowed his 501st Legion led by Captain Rex to make a surprising ambush on the rest of the droid army, ending the conflict.
General Kenobi compliments General Skywalker, who thanks Kenobi for helping their victory with Kenobi saying that he is always glad to help.
The two were soon contacted by Admiral Wullf Yularen, who informed them of an upcoming transmission going under the code "Fulcrum," while the two Jedi thought it might have been Saw Gerrera, Yularen confirmed otherwise saying it was necessary for the generals to attend the call themselves.
Upon arriving in the bridge, Skywalker asks Yularen what is so important that he has brought them all the way back.
Skywalker is shocked to see that the transmission is from Ahsoka Tano, joined by Bo-Katan Kryze.
Skywalker and Kenobi were surprised to see Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan Kryze were the ones that had made the call.
Emotionally shocked to see his former apprentice after several months of being apart, Skywalker barely managed to control himself and proceeded to talk to Tano, who remarked the moment was not a reunion as Maul had been located on Mandalore and they had an opportunity to capture him.
Later in the hangar, Skywalker walks with Kenobi and R2-D2 where Anakin remarks that if Ahsoka had not left the Jedi Order, she wouldn't have been where she needed to be.
Kenobi says that is one way to look at it, but Skywalker counters that is the only way to look at it.
A Mandalorian shuttle lands in the hangar and Ahsoka Tano exits the gangplank with R2-D2 rushing to meet her and she strokes his dome; Tano is followed by Lady Bo-Katan and several Mandalorians.
Skywalker wants to chat with Ahsoka but she gets down to business, telling him that things are moving quickly and he is unnerved by the Mandalorians.
Inside the war room, Tano explains that Bo-Katan had been tracking Maul for several months.
Tano adds that she had been able to obtain some transmission codes from the Pykes on Oba Diah, which helped to pinpoint some of his previous locations but when Skywalker asks what she was doing on Oba Diah, Tano replies that that's a long story which was not really relevant then.
uncil gave their permission, causing Skywalker to unnoticeably scowl at him.
Angrily, Bo-Katan points out that she thought Satine meant something to Kenobi, who replies that she did and still does however, he says that he won't let his feelings cloud his judgments.
After Bo-Katan and her guards leave, Tano speaks with Skywalker in private, telling him that he and Kenobi have not changed.
When Anakin asks if that is a bad thing, she remains silent then Skywalker tells Tano that he has a surprise for her and leads her through the ship.
Anakin and Ahsoka walk the corridors of the ship.
Passing clone troopers salute her, surprising Tano, who no longer regards herself as a Jedi.
Skywalker explained that they were just showing respect for the years she spent with them serving on the front lines in the Clone Wars.
As they arrived, the door moved aside to reveal Rex and his company with their newly painted helmets bearing her markings.
At Rex's command, the clone troopers stand at attention, as Tano and Skywalker inspect them.
Now having seen them, Skywalker motioned her to move through the small crowd of troopers as they had been waiting for her.
Skywalker explains that as soon as Rex and his men knew she was coming, they got to work.
After seeing the troopers, Tano walked back to Skywalker and Rex who said that the paint job on the helmets was a little crude, but it was still good to see her again.
Rex tells Ahsoka that he and his men are glad to have their Commander back and Tano is grateful but tells Rex that he doesn’t have to address her as Commander anymore, which he chooses to ignore.
Before they parted ways once more, Skywalker tells Tano that he has one more surprise for her and presents her with a box handed to him by Rex.
However, just as he presented her with the box, the ship's emergency alarm went off, alerting all Republic personnel aboard to get ready for battle with Kenobi rushed in, informing Skywalker and Rex to prepare all forces and that they would be entering hyperspace shortly to help ward off Grievous' surprise attack on Coruscant.
When Skywalker asks about Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, Kenobi says that Shaak Ti has been sent to protect him but that Jedi Master Mace Windu has lost contact with her but reassures Skywalker that their fleet can be there in an hour but Tano is upset and thinks that the Jedi are going to abandon Bo-Katan and her people.
As a concession, Skywalker decides to divide the 501st Legion and create a new division under Ahsoka's command; Kenobi reminds Skywalker that Ahsoka is no longer a member of the Grand Army of the Republic but Skywalker proposes promoting Rex to Commander and having him lead the new division and appoints Ahsoka as Rex's adviser.
Tano then thanked Skywalker for the support as he once again presented her with the box, knowing she'd need its contents if she were going to face Maul.
Realizing what was inside, Tano opened the box, revealing her lightsabers as she grabbed them, igniting them and revealing their new blue hue.
As she looked at Skywalker, he said they were maybe a little better than when she had had them last and Tano then briefly practiced with them once more.
Skywalker then headed to rescue the Chancellor as this was now an opportunity to end the war and while he was leaving, Tano stopped him by wishing him good luck in his mission.
Happy to have been reunited with his apprentice, Skywalker smiled and they both parted ways but unbeknownst to either of them, this would be the last time they ever saw each other as friends.
The Venator wreckage continues to lie where it crashed, eventually being covered in snow as time passes and Darth Vader paid a visit.
The Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader, disembarks from the shuttle ominously and walks across the icy fields.
Years later during the Imperial Era, the wreckage was discovered by Imperial forces and Darth Vader visited the now snow-covered site accompanied by stormtroopers.
Investigating the wreckage with a contingent of snowtroopers, Vader discovered a memorial to the clone company that perished in the crash.
Vader kneels down and reaches through the snow.
In the wreckage, Vader found his former apprentice's lightsaber, heavily corroded.
The lightsaber, partly frozen but still functional, that once belonged to his former apprentice, Vader ignites the blade.
Igniting the lightsaber's blue blade, Vader heard a squawking sound and turned his head to the sky, where he saw a strange bird soaring through the air.
After gazing at the bird for a moment, Vader deactivated the lightsaber and turned away from the crash site with the saber in hand.
Vader watches the bird for a moment, then takes the saber, turns, and walks away, reflected in the visor of a cracked helmet belonging to a clone trooper of the 332nd Company.
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith[]

As they piloted their fighters towards the Invisible Hand, Skywalker found hundreds of vulture droids and tri-fighters swarming around the General's command ship.
Skywalker smiles as the Jedi engaged the enemy fighters with the help of the clone fighter squad.
Anakin flies his starfighter directly into Grievous' flagship.
With Kenobi's ship's engines failing, the two fighters breached the vessel's defenses and crashed in the hangar, and there the Jedi made quick work of the security droid resistance.
After crashing landing, the two Jedi disposed of the few remaining droids in the hangar while R2-D2 located the Chancellor.
Back with the Jedi, R2-D2 located Palpatine's homing beacon.
Once they discovered that he was being held at the top of the ship's observation spire, they concluded that they were walking into a trap when Skywalker sensed the presence of Count Dooku.
As the two Jedi headed towards Palpatine, they boarded a turbolift upon a quick evasion from a trio of destroyer droids.
Kenobi and Skywalker found a group of security battle droids inside the elevator.
When the lift they were using stopped, Anakin sliced the roof of the lift with his lightsaber.
Skywalker Jedi leaps out of the lift.
The lift falls out from under Skywalker who holds onto the edge of a door.
Security droids requested for the Jedi Knight to drop his weapon.
Kenobi and Skywalker were assisted by R2-D2 in getting to the top of the Invisible Hand 's conning tower — the location of the General's Quarters.

Not long after they arrived at the top of the spire, the Sith Lord appeared before them and the two Jedi engaged him in a duel.
The Jedi charged at Dooku together, as Kenobi had originally planned three years earlier on Geonosis, with the Count retreating, on the defensive.

Getting to his feet, Skywalker carried on the fight alone and kicked Dooku off the terrace.

Sensing that Skywalker was holding back his anger and hate, Dooku taunted him, hoping to disrupt his concentration.
Dooku taunted Skywalker, remarking that he felt fear, hate and anger, but that he did not use them.
However, it had the opposite effect: it infuriated Skywalker to the point where he tapped into the dark side.
However, this attempt backfired, further infuriating Skywalker rather than causing him self doubt or distracting him.
Anakin attacked Dooku with rage and hatred, raining down fast, heavy power attacks against his opponent.
Skywalker began to unleash all his fear, anger and hatred, beating away at Dooku's Makashi with his own Djem So mastery.

With the ship on its side, the three began running down an elevator shaft.
The turbolift Anakin called for earlier also descended to their location due to miscommunication with R2-D2, nearly crushing them and Skywalker attempted to call R2 to stop it, but Kenobi told him to jump, realizing there was no time for that.
They eventually ducked inside an open elevator door, narrowly evading the speeding elevator.
The shields dropped on the Jedi and Palpatine but Skywalker was sure that R2-D2 would arrive and release the shields.

Their escape was short lived, however, as they were soon captured and brought before General Grievous on the bridge of the vessel.
The Jedi and Chancellor were soon captured and held prisoner.
Anakin meets General Grievous for the first time and taunts him.
The droid general took Kenobi and Skywalker's lightsabers, boasting about adding them to his collection, but the Jedi, after warning him that he won't escape "this time," were able to recover them with the help of R2-D2, who used beams of electricity to distract the guards.
Skywalker summons his weapon and engages battle droids.
Anakin fought two of the droids on the bridge that held Palpatine.
Anakin and Obi-Wan attempt to apprehend Grievous.
However, as they attempted to apprehend Grievous, he used one the MagnaGuards' electrostaffs to shatter the viewport, depressurizing the bridge and letting the vacuum take him but Skywalker and Kenobi caught onto nearby command consoles.
As the command crew had fled, and some of the pilot droids were cut down by the Jedi.
The Neimoidians and OOM pilot battle droids quickly abandoned the bridge leaving the Jedi behind.
Skywalker announced that all the escape pods had been launched by Grievous in an attempt to foil the Jedi's escape.
The ship's internal gravity quickly switched polarities due to the gravity well, but despite everything Skywalker took control of the helm, and attempted to pilot the wreck to a safe landing on Coruscant.
Although he briefly managed to slow the ship's descent, the damage it had sustained proved too great, and the Invisible Hand broke in half, picking up considerable speed as it fell towards the Republic capital.
Despite this, Skywalker, in order to avoid adding to the already massive damage Coruscant had already sustained from the fighting, successfully crash-landed the ship on a long, seldomly-used landing platform.
The ship then became caught in Coruscant's gravity well and began barreling towards the surface with Skywalker and Kenobi attempted to land it, but only managed to ease the crash.
Skywalker eventually succeeded in crash-landing the Invisible Hand on a deserted landing strip, returning the once-captive Chancellor to Coruscant unharmed.
Following the ordeal, the two escorted the Chancellor to the Senate building, where they separated.
Anakin praises his master that all he accomplished had been apart of Kenobi's training.

Ahsoka then drove both of her lightsabers into the ground at her feet, causing the floor of the chamber to begin crumbling as Vader quickly recovered from his distraction and aimed a killing stroke at Tano.
However, as Vader struck what would have been a killing blow, a portal suddenly appeared from behind Tano and a figure grabbed her by the shoulder, pulling her into a mysterious dimension.
As Vader swung his lightsaber at Tano, Bridger reached through the portal and yanked her backward into the temple.
As a result, Vader's strike missed and the temple floor crumbled, sending Vader plummeting into a pool of light.
A wounded and exhausted Vader exited the ruins of the temple with his mask sliced and voice box wheezing.
On Malachor's surface, a lone and damaged Darth Vader limps away from the destroyed Sith temple while a convor flies overhead.

Vader then claimed that Skywalker's destiny lay with him, and that Obi-Wan had known it.
As Skywalker denied this, Vader continued to walk Luke towards the now-open freezing pit.
As such, when Vader performed another casual swing of his weapon, Skywalker backed right over the lip of the pit and fell in with Vader immediately activating the chamber with the Force, remarking that his victory had been disappointingly easy.
Vader then approached the pit, contemptuously musing that Skywalker was not as strong as he had been told.
Vader hears a metallic crash from above and noticed Skywalker trying to climb the tubing above the pit.
Complimenting Skywalker's escape, Vader slashed one of the hoses in an attempt to dislodge his opponent, triggering alarms that started blaring through the chamber.
Skywalker jumped down, grabbed the severed hose, and used it to spray gas into Vader's masked face.
With the Sith Lord momentarily stunned, Skywalker used the Force to summon his lightsaber to his hand re-engaging Vader and locked blades with him again.
Vader taunted Skywalker, asserting that, while he had control of his fear, unleashing his anger was the only path to victory.

Landing behind Vader, Skywalker went on the offensive and drove the Sith Lord to the edge of the platform, kicking Vader in the abdomen.

Blade-locking with the boy, Vader threw him against a wall and slashed at him, but Skywalker recovered just in time to avoid Vader's attack.

After dodging another such attack, Skywalker attempted to retreat along the catwalk from whence he had come but Vader quickly cut him off.
Shoving Skywalker onto the dead-end that was the central catwalk, Vader continued his relentless assault.
On the emergency platform of the Cloud City, Luke and Vader continue the duel.

But Skywalker defiantly drove Vader's weapon aside and regained his feet.

During the duel over the abyss, Luke beats Vader with his saber in his right shoulder, slightly damaging his dark armor causing Vader to howl in pain.

Enraged by the breach in his defenses, Vader moved to end the duel, driving Skywalker to a small extension at the end of the catwalk.
There, Vader sliced apart a piece of equipment on the catwalk.
Vader parried Luke's weapon hard enough to expose his wrist, and sliced off his right hand with a swift undercut.
Darth Vader cuts off Luke's right hand, which along with his old lightsaber fell through the shaft.

As Luke recoiled with a scream of pain, Vader deactivated his weapon and began conversing with Skywalker.

Vader would have none of it and attacked once again.
Throughout the duel, the two seemed to be even in their capabilities.
Vader starts the duel again aboard the second Death Star.

Luke reluctantly fought a lightsaber battle with Vader, matching Vader's mastery of Form V with his own display of Form V blade work.
Vader wasn't trying to kill Luke, only to lead him closer to the dark side.

Vader reached Luke in short order and struck at the young Jedi with his lightsaber, forcing Luke to reactivate his weapon.
After a brief flurry of swordplay, Luke leapt away from Vader into the center of one of the data pods in Palpatine's throne room.

As Luke climbs onto a balcony, Vader stares daggers at him.
Skywalker tells his father he feels the conflict, but Vader retorts that there is no conflict.

Vader searches the darkness for Luke who hid himself and refused to continue to fight.
Vader tells Skywalker to give himself to the dark side as it was the only way to save his friends.

Eventually, Vader telepathically sensed the existence of his daughter and Luke’s twin sister, Leia, and threatened to corrupt her instead.
Vader, happy at this new information he had acquired — and thus, the final failure of Obi-Wan, decided to use this knowledge against Luke, threatening to corrupt Leia.
In order to goad his son back into fighting him, Vader used telepathy to probe his thoughts, learning of the existence of his daughter and Skywalker's twin sister, stating that perhaps she could be seduced to the dark side if Skywalker could not.
Vader exclaims as Luke shows himself enraged at his threats.
Luke responds viciously in intense saber fighting of Form V against Vader.
With that, Luke's rage exploded tapping into the dark side and used his hate and anger to boost his physical prowess.
Furious at the threat, Skywalker viciously attacked, wielding the full power of Djem So.
Vader, taken completely off guard by Luke's sudden increase in power and aggression, was forced onto his back foot.
Enraged, Luke ignited his lightsaber and viciously attacked Vader with anger and fury.
Attacking his father much more aggressively this time, he unleashed his full might upon the Sith Lord.
Vader and Luke maneuver the lightsaber duel from under the stairs to the main room.
The two combatants continue to trade strikes of their sabers.
The threat of losing his sister enraged Luke and drove him to angrily attack Vader.
Only then did his son lose control and viciously attack him.
Vader and Luke trade barbs of swordplay.
An enraged Skywalker allowed himself to draw upon his anger to overwhelm the Dark Lord.
Skywalker eventually pushed Vader into a corner, right next to the second Death Star's reactor shaft.
Near the reactor core, Vader and Luke continue to duel.
Father and son battle each other on the second Death Star.
Skywalker strikes the handle bars of the catwalk causing sparks to spark.
A weary Vader tries to keep his stamina up against his son.
Luke and a weary Vader clash their sabers on the catwalk.
Vader manages to dodge Skywalker's lightsaber strike.
Luke almost defeats Vader in their final confrontation.
Eventually pushing Vader into a corner, right next to the Death Star's reactor shaft, Skywalker repeatedly struck him with multiple heavy blows.
Luke continued to hammer Vader with vicious power attacks until Vader lost his footing and collapsed against a railing on the side of the bridge.
Darth Vader grows weak as Luke strikes him down.
Skywalker repeatedly struck Vader with multiple heavy blows causing the Sith to lean on the handle bars.
With one final strike, Luke severed Vader's cybernetic right hand, taking the Sith's lightsaber with it as it plummeted into the depths below.
Finally, Luke knocked Vader to the floor and hacked off his mechanical right hand, defeating the Sith Lord.
Only then did his son lose control and viciously attack Vader, cutting Vader's right hand off and knocking him down.

The Emperor then demanded he finish Vader and take his father's place at his side.
Skywalker noticed that the hand he'd cut off was mechanical, much like his own, and in a moment of realization, saw that he was about to become what he had sought to destroy.
Luke tossed his lightsaber away, refusing the Emperor's offer to join him as his new apprentice instead declaring himself a Jedi, like his father had been.
Vader slowly rises to his feet while Luke confronts the Emperor.
Vader walks to his master's side who is torturing Luke with Force lightning.
An enraged Emperor declares that if Luke will not turn to the dark side, he will be destroyed, and uses Force lightning against the young Jedi.
The Emperor unleashed Force lightning upon Skywalker, forcing him onto his knees and begging his father to help him.
The Emperor slowly increases the intensity of the lightning, torturing Luke who then calls out to his father to help him.
The Emperor then proceeded to torment Luke, while Darth Vader watched his son struggling.
Vader sees his son in excruciating pain at his master's lightning.
Vader seeing his son being tortured by his master.
Hearing his son's pleas for help, Vader returned to the light side and was once again Anakin Skywalker.
Forced to choose between saving his son and obeying his master, he eventually chose to save his son by grabbing the Emperor.
Anakin seizes the Emperor saving his son.
Skywalker's armor is damaged by the Emperor's lightning.
Anakin Skywalker kills the Emperor in redemption.
Anakin electrified by the Emperor's Force lightning.
Anakin weakened after killing the Emperor.
The Emperor disappears into the abyss, screaming, and then he is gone with an explosion of dark side energy surrounding Anakin.
With his life support system shorted out, Anakin Skywalker had paid for his act of defiance with his life.
From that moment on, the persona of Darth Vader was no more, and Anakin Skywalker was reborn comforted by his son.
Luke goes to his father's injured side and comforts him.
By killing the Emperor, and ending his reign, the redeemed Anakin fulfilled his destiny by restoring balance to the Force.
Luke carries Anakin through the hangar of the second Death Star.
Luke, unwilling to leave his father behind, managed to drag Anakin's cumbersome, immobile body to his shuttle.
Luke dragged his father to the hangar where his Imperial ST-321 shuttle lay, in hopes of saving his life.
Anakin, knowing that he would die whether or not Luke got him onto a ship, stopped his son.
Anakin asks his son to remove his mask.
Nearing death, Skywalker asked Luke to help him remove his mask, so that he could see his son with his own eyes, not through the lens filters of his mask.
Telling this to Luke, the boy obliged him and slowly removed the mask that Anakin had worn for nearly half his life.
Though Luke was hesitant to do so, convinced that his father would die without it, Anakin told him that nothing could prevent his death now.
Luke helped disconnect the helmet and mask and saw his father's face for the first time.
Anakin, unmasked, sees Luke's eyes in his last moments.
Beneath, Anakin was bald and smiled at his son for the first time. Unknown to Luke, Anakin also sees Qui-Gon Jinn's ghost next to his son.
His son insisted that he had to save him, but Skywalker told him he already had.
Anakin asked his son to tell his sister he had been right about him.
Anakin succumbs to his injuries dying peacefully.

During the celebration, Luke saw a vision of a redeemed Anakin in the robes of a Jedi Master with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda next to him.
