Bibi Love known as Bibi or Diva is a minor antagonist in the 2010 video game Dead Rising 2 and its reimagining Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
She is a former singer who came to Fortune City for her big comeback show, who wants to be recognizable and famous once again.
However, the zombie outbreak thwarts her plans for a big comeback show which resulted in her taking her employees: Allison Perkins - her assistant, Cameron Welch - her stage manager, and Juan Lee - her clothes designer, as hostages, threatening them to blow herself and them up if they try to ruin her big comeback in addition to being delusional, thinking that zombies are her fans.
She was voiced by Patricia Drake.
Biography[]
Dead Rising 2[]
Bibi Love came to Fortune City for her big comeback in her singing career. Her performance was planned on the stage at Slot Ranch Casino and advertisements of her image were spread across Fortune City. However, due to the zombie outbreak, her plans fell into ruin and her audience either fled or was killed and turned into zombies. Due to this disaster, Bibi went insane and took three of her employees hostage, threatening to blow herself up and blowing them up if they tried to leave or ruin her performance, and being delusional that the zombies in the casino were her fans.
On September 27th at 3 p.m., Stacey calls Chuck telling him that she has noticed a few survivors sitting on the couches right in front of the stage at Slot Ranch Casino as if they were waiting for a performance and advises him to check it out. Chuck Greene goes to Slot Ranch Casino and sees exactly what Stacey told him. Chuck goes to Cameron sitting on the couch and tries to untie him, but he tells him that "she" is coming. Chuck looks at the stage and sees Bibi Love apologizing to the fans for waiting, saying that she too is looking forward to the big comeback but has a few more errands to do. Bibi also complains about her incompetent team, saying it's their fault the show stretches forever. Chuck ignoring Bibi goes back to untying Cameron, but the man tells him not to do it, adding that there are bombs under the tables and if they try to escape Bibi will blow everything up. Having no choice, Chuck approaches Bibi and she mistakes him for the stageband member of her show and tells him he has to do some errands for her, adding that she gets really explosive when she has to wait. Cameron adds that he'd better do what Bibi tells him to do. Bibi tells Chuck to bring something to drink, dress appropriately for the occasion, preferably in a tuxedo, and bring her "fans", 15-20 zombies. After completing three tasks, Bibi tells him that he did well and now he has to run the entire show and not to worry about the instructions as Allison will tell him what to press. Then, during the Bibi show, a mini-game appears in which Chuck has to press the right buttons at the right times.
If Accomplished[]
After the show is over, Bibi thanks Chuck for his help, saying it was the best big comeback show she could ever dream of and then goes to the end of the scene throwing herself into the zombie's embrace, thinking that they are her fans. At this point, Bibi returns to her senses and realizes that her fans are zombies and asks for help. Chuck has the option to leave her to the zombies or save her. According to the canonical version, Chuck decides to help Bibi and, after killing the zombies around her, he decides to take her to the bunker along with Allison, Cameron, and Juan to the other survivors. Saving Bibi gives you a lot of experience points. Leaving her doesn't give the player anything.
If Failed[]
However, if Chuck tries to attack her, her crew, or screw up the mini-game, a furious Bibi will yell at him, telling him that he has destroyed her great chance to return, then activates the bombs and blows herself up with her crew. Beware that she can also get killed by the zombies if the player lets them climb the stage.
Dead Rising 2: Off the Record[]
In the Dead Rising 2 remake, Bibi's role as the boss is the same, but Bibi gives Frank $100 after being brought to the safe room.
