The two unnamed Werewolves are the main antagonists of the Love, Death & Robots episode "Shape-Shifters".

Biography[]

In a world where werewolves are common but discriminated against humans, the two werewolves are a pair of soldiers working for the Taliban, secretly plotting to bring the US Marines to their knees. Commander Reyner instructs two werewolf friends, Lt. Decker and Sgt. Sobieski, to guard a backup convoy, with Sobieski to watch from the watchtower and Decker search around the proximity.

That night, Decker detects something is wrong and heads up to the backup convoy. He arrives too late, as all the soldiers have been slaughtered including Sobieski, leaving Decker devastated. Numerous scratch and bite marks on the victims make him know they were caused by werewolves, with Commander Reyner ordering Decker to bring them alive. The next day, the remaining troops are patrolling through a small town in search of the werewolves with Decker trying to smell them by scent. Amongst the townsfolk, he notices an old man sitting on a chair with a younger man offering him a cup of water. The old man stares at Decker, before he and the young man disappear when his back is turned.

Once the full moon came out that night, Decker obtains the sense of a werewolf in the area and sneaks away from the base. On a rocky side, Decker spots the old man from before, revealing himself as the werewolf. He taunts Decker by showing Sobieski's dog tag before transforming into his werewolf form. Decker begins transforming as well only to be interrupted halfway through his transformation by a second werewolf, the young man from before.

Decker manages to get the younger werewolf off of him by clawing out his right eye and bashing his head with a rock, allowing him to complete his werewolf transformation. However, even with the strength his werewolf form gives him, Decker found himself quickly overwhelmed by both werewolves, with the younger werewolf managing to dislocate his arm, and he falls to the ground exhausted. As the younger werewolf lunges for the finishing blow, Decker manages to regain his strength in time to grab the younger werewolf, pin him down, and tear out his throat.

The older werewolf then lunges at Decker, managing to bite off his ear and slice his stomach, but Decker manages to overcome him and break his arm. Decker ultimately manages to kill the older werewolf by forcing his snout down his mouth before biting down, crushing his skull. With his friend's death avenged, Decker returns to the base in the morning once his wounds regenerate and buries Sobieski.
