Biography[]

Tales from the Hood[]

The mysterious man lures in three young street thugs and tells them four stories before revealing to them that they were dead the entire time, and that they are in Hell for their crimes.

Tales from the Hood 2[]

Mr. Simms is called upon by the racist and sleazy private prison operator, Dumass Beach, to tell four stories with the theme of "Black Lives Matter" to fill the heads of an army of AI-controlled "Robo Patriots" with information from said stories to help them better determine for themselves on who is a criminal and thereby fill Beach's prisons.

Afterwards, Beach presents the Robo Patriot prototype at a press conference, where it identified potential thieves and illegal immigrants within the audience. The robot then turned on Beach and his team, as after analyzing Mr. Simms' stories, it identified them as threats to American civilization. Robo Patriot kills Grant and Kelly, viewing them as Beach's accomplices for their inaction towards his behavior, before pursuing the prison operator himself with laser fire.

Beach is rescued by Mr. Simms as he found that he was wounded. That was, until Mr. Simms reveals to Beach that he was actually fatally shot, and that he is in Hell, as demons subsequently take Beach away while Simms, having revealed himself as the Devil, laughed maniacally. In the post-credits scene, Mr. Simms addresses the audience, proclaiming "Now that, was some s**t!" before walking away into Hell.

Tales from the Hood 3[]

In the third film, Mr. Simms assumed the form of a little girl named Brooklyn. During the first section "The Mouths of Babes and Demons", she and the killer William were running through the woods and into an abandoned building, as they are both on the run from the “bad things”, an evil force that is pursuing them. To distract William from the danger, Brooklyn starts telling him stories. In the final section, when William plans to make her his next victim, Brooklyn reveals herself to be Satan who came to claim his soul while the bad things were her escorts. Upon sending the victims' souls to heaven and claiming William's head, Brooklyn turns to the camera and asks "Do you want to hear a story?" with flaming eyes and laughs maniacally.

He tells stories as a way to try and get these sinners to repent their evil ways, and when they inevitably fail to do so, he reveals his true Satanic form and punishes them for their unrepentance.
  • His given name in the first film, Portifoy, may come from Osmond Portifoy, the antagonist of the Night Gallery TV pilot. His name in the second film, Diomedes, comes from the hero of the same name who in Greek mythology participated in the Trojan War.
