Shiromori is the main antagonist of the animated music videos from the American indie pop band Mystery Skulls. She is the arch-nemesis of Vivi and Mystery.
Appearance[]
Shiromori is a humanoid with light azure blue skin, abnormally long arms, and no visible feet, only having stumps. She has shoulder length white hair, pink eyes, one sharp fang on the left, pink lipstick on her bottom and eye shadow, and a small blue and white tree-like formation with pink flowers growing out of the top of her head resembling a bonsai tree.
She wears a white and slate gray medieval Japanese-style robe held by a dark pink sash, a pink beaded necklace, and matching bracelets.
Personality[]
Shiromori appears to be harmless but agitated at first, only to be revealed later on that she can be seriously ruthless and cold-hearted in her goal to find Mystery. She is shown to have no qualms in killing anything considered as a hindrance to her goals to track down Mystery.
History[]
Shiromori was first seen as she emerges from the ground, just outside a cavern. She goes inside the cavern to search for Mystery, a dog and mascot of the Mystery Skulls, but when Shiromori tries to grow a flower tied to his essence, it wilts, implying that he is nowhere to be found. Frustrated, she pounds her fist against the wall and leaves, as when Lewis Pepper's spirit seems to flow out. Shiromori, sensing his spirit, grows a flower that is tied to Lewis' essence. With eagerness, she follows this new lead, which directs back to the ruins of his former mansion.
As she goes there, Shiromori steps on Lewis' heart and had three flowers grown sensing Arthur's and Vivi's essences as well, but she cuts them off as Shiromori considers them not the ones she is looking for. Picking up the broken heart, Shiromori then grows another one, but this time connecting to Mystery, and while at the same time reawakening Lewis' dormant spirit in the process, who attacks her by delivering a punch to the face, ripping her head off in the action. Shiromori however survived his assault and prepares for a confrontation, but ultimately seems to decide that tracking down Mystery is more important and escapes underground. She was not seen until near the end as a shadow where Mystery (while with Arthur and Vivi in the group's van) picks up a petal and then realized Shiromori is finally tracking him.
in freaking Out, while snooping underground, she tries to look for Arthur’s essence from the scene where he was killed, however she became disappointed as the area deteriorated her flower, which then she awoke Arthur’s ghost from the heart left and attempted to use his heart to track the other mystery skull members Vivi and Mystery, but Arthur intervenes and punches her, but she doesn’t retaliate and knowing of Arthur’s strength she retreats to find the rest of the members
In Hellbent, she followed Arthur and Mystery driving whilst burrowing. She then encounters Vivi and attempts to kill mystery but has hit in the bag by Vivi who recognised her ancestors, overwelming Mystery, Shiroromi face began to blush and she attempts to attack Vivi with her giant sheers but manages to dislodge the bat, while Mystery’s nine tailed spirit flashes before his sight.
In future, as Shiromiri attempts to finish of Vivi, Mystery shifts into his nine tailed form and distracts her with a sent of biting his own blood, making her astray over the sent of coming over and distracting her, Vivi manages to connect with her great-great ansestor as they call the bat, while Shiromori attempts to lay a bite on Mystery’s hand but blocks the bat which then freezes her hand, urging another battle. Later Shiromori manages to graze Vivi’s check, calling mystery to try and stop her, and flinging her away to a Truck, which then explodes, Shiromori recovers from the explosion and attempts to attack the group by manipulating the roots underground, But Mystery carries Vivi to his back and charges at Shiromori, Vivi quickly spring up and forcefully swings her bat which flows through Shiromori’s arms to be frozen and break up. As Vivi attempts to finish her, Mystery intervenes and makes her spare her, they both agree, much to Shiromori anger as her limbs quickly grew and grabs her Sheers to kill Mystery but was countered by Vivi but manages to slash at her stomach, much to Mystery’s anger who attempts to charge back at her but was knocked back by Shiromori, an injured Vivi notices Shiromori’s open wound from her blue and beating heart, with the strength of her great late ancestor, she quickly got up and swing her bat at Shiromori’s heart away with all her full power, in her last moments while being reduced into a log figure beside Mystery, her hand reached slowly at in front of the latter before her life flashed and turned inanimate, ending her pursuit between the team.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Burrowing: Shiromori has the ability to travel through underground, going into even long distances as shown in "Hellbent".
- Tracking: She has the ability to track anyone by growing flowers that are linked to their life forces.
- Scissors Proficiency: Shiromori uses her scissors for cropping plants and possibly for combat in "Freaking Out". She can also change the physical appearance of it, as she later used it again in "Hellbent" to attempt to kill Mystery again and then Vivi.

- In Japanese, Shiromori's name (白森) translates to as "white forest".
- Her overall appearance could probably be inspired by Oni (the Japanese equivalent of ogres).
