Nightmare Mangle is a major antagonist in Five Night at Freddy's 4: Halloween Edition and Ultimate Custom Night. he is one of the few new Nightmare animatronics alongside Nightmare Balloon Boy and Nightmarionne. he is a nightmarish and more vicious version of Mangle. Nightmare Mangle is responsible for replacing Nightmare Foxy in the Halloween Edition, and thus shares the same behavior.
Appearance[]
Overall, he appears to resemble the original Mangle, except far more twisted and tattered. he possesses all of the original parts from Mangle, such as the plastic head, endoskeleton head, and various mechanical parts, but appears far more sinister and twisted, though not as much as Nightmare Balloon Boy. His head shape looks similar to Nightmare Foxy's, while the second endoskeleton head closely resembles a skull. Nightmare Mangle also has 3 endoskeleton legs.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4[]
Nightmare Mangle behaves almost exactly like his counterpart, Nightmare Foxy. Nightmare Mangle is first introduced on Night 2. he will try to enter the Bedroom from either hall. If he succeeds in doing so, he will then enter the Closet. Like Nightmare Foxy, at this point, if the player fails to check the Closet frequently enough, then Nightmare Mangle will come out and jumpscare the player. while Nightmare Mangle is in the closet static noise starts playing, making surviving far harder as he drowns out most audio cues.
Five nights at Freddy's: Ultimate Custom Night[]
Nightmare Mangle appears in the game Ultimate Custom Night. he will appear at a random time in the Right Hall and the only way to defend against him is to purchase a Mangle Plushie from the Prize Corner using Faz-Coins.

- Nightmare Mangle doesn't appear in the hallways for some reason, unlike Nightmare Foxy.
- Ironically, despite hanging in the 'Come hang out' teaser, Nightmare Mangle never hangs on the ceiling in FNAF 4 at all, and is the only variant of Mangle to never to do so.
- Him and Withered Golden Freddy are the only two animatronics that appeared before FNAF World to never receive an adventure counterpart, even with Update 2.
- Ultimate custom night and the official character guide refer to him as male.
