Wait--F***ing wait--! I'm just a dude, okay? I'm telepathic, but I'm not a robot! I'm a dude in a suit, I don't come to pieces or any of that stupid shit!
~ Mind-Droids last words to Billy Butcher before being decapitated .

Mind-Droid is a supporting antagonist in the controversial comic book series The Boys, serving as a minor antagonist in the six part mini-series Herogasm, and a major antagonist in the The Self-Preservation Society arc. He is a member of Payback, and he also is in a romantic relationship with Crimson Countess. He is seen as a robotic superhero, but he is actually a human in robotic suit.

Biography[]

Like the rest of Payback, the modern Mind-Droid is the third individual to hold the title. According to James Stillwell, Mind-Droid, along with the other members of Payback, has made multiple attempts to join the Seven. Mind-Droid first appears in Tek Knight's flashback, as he recalls that because of his overwhelming desire to have sex with anything (due to a large brain tumour) he attempted to rape Mind-Droid in the middle of a mission in the air, leading to his suspension from Payback.

Mind-Droid is one of the many participants in the annual Herogasm event, where he is horrified to learn from Jack from Jupiter than Crimson Countess has been cheating on him with team leader Stormfront. Along with the rest of Payback, he confronts James Stillwell about Vice President Victor Neuman's sexual advances on Crimson Countess. Stillwell brings up Paybacks' belief that they are considered by Vought to be second to The Seven and each members multiple attempts to join the latter team, to Mind-Droid's anger as this includes Crimson Countess. The team are then given their order to kill a group called The Boys in exchange for better funding and promotional resources.

After the Boys realize the hospital they were in was fake, Mind-Droid then showed up with the rest of his teammates attacking The Boys. Billy Butcher grabs a brick and hits Mind-Droid in the face. When Crimson Countess is killed by Billy Butcher, his teammate Swatto asks him what's wrong with her, but horrified, says he can't read her mind literally as if she had been turned off. Mind-Droid and Swatto then finds her dead, and Mind-Droid is horrified about it, and panics at how underprepared Vought left them to fight The Boys. When Stormfront coldly brushes Crimson Countess' death away and tells them to continue, Mind-Droid tries to argue, citing that unlike him, a literal Nazi, none of them had ever killed before. In the end, Stormfront ends all of Payback's concerns and they proceed to re-hunt the Boys.

Mind-Droid notices that he can read the mind of one of The Boys. Unfortunately, Billy Butcher was in the same room, and he took the pickaxe and broke the glass with a brick. When they spot him, Billy Butcher throws broken glass at Stormfront's eye, and Stormfront flies away in panic.

While the rest of them wonder what to do, Butcher's dog Terror runs past them, confusing them. Soldier Boy and Mind-Droid notice that Swatto disappeared somewhere. Soldier Boy and Mind-Droid find Swatto with a pickaxe in his mouth, and they run away in horror at the sight. Mind-Droid and Soldier Boy stop running and try to convince Butcher to spare them, citing that their deaths would supposedly crush the millions of fans they, but then Butcher stabbed Soldier Boy with shovel, cutting his ear off. Butcher then uses the shovel to hit Mind-Droid, causing him to fall to the ground. A terrified Mind-Droid begs Butcher for his life and says that he is not a robot, but a human in robotic suit. However, he tells him that he knows about it and cuts his head off with a shovel.
