The Fire Trooper is a minor antagonist in Metal Gear, being the flamethrower-wielding mercenary contracted into Outer Heaven and assigned to exterminate Solid Snake in 1995.
History[]
Backstory[]
The Fire Trooper was originally a soldier in the German anti-terrorist unit GSG-9, but quit to become a mercenary. Mastering his personal favourite weapon, the flamethrower, the Fire Trooper donned a heavy, flame-retardant suit and joined Outer Heaven around 1995.
Metal Gear[]
The Fire Trooper was stationed as a guard of Outer Heaven's Building 2 elevator to the rooftop where he met the FOXHOUND rookie known as Solid Snake. The two soldiers began to fight, as the Trooper was assigned to kill the latter, but Snake eventually won and killed the foe.
