~ Five-Oh's most infamous quote as he speaks for the G-Men about their abuse. |
Five-Oh is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Critter) of the "We Gotta Go Now" arc of the controversial comic book series, The Boys.
He is a member of the superhero group, the G-Men, specifically as the leader of the main G-Men team. Although to the public, Five-Oh and his "siblings" are dignified and dedicated superheroes, they are, in truth, depraved and sociopathic criminals brainwashed to act as John Godolkin's minions.
History[]
Past[]
Five-Oh was one of the original founding members of the G-Men. While the public believes that he is an orphan who Godolkin adopted and trained to be a superhero, Five-Oh, like the other G-Men, was actually a child who was kidnapped, molested, and brainwashed by Godolkin to be turned into a superhero.
Growing up, Five-Oh and his teammates developed both a hatred and a loyalty to Godolkin, obeying his every word, while also insulting him behind his back. To cope with their abuse, the G-Men would go out and commit multiple crimes that were covered up by Vought. This would cause some tension between Godolkin and Vought for taking advantage of their partnership.
The group would also kill any members who attempted to speak out, such as having Silver Kincaid kill Nubia for causing trouble, then bringing her back.
The Boys[]
After years of abuse, Silver Kincaid briefly escapes control and attempts to expose Godolkin before committing suicide. This drives the Boys to investigate her death and infiltrate the G-Men. They do so by sending Hughie into the G-Wiz division as the superhero, "Bagpipe."
As part of joining, Hughie is invited to the G-House and meets Godolkin, alongside the main team of the G-Men and is given a tour. While there, he plants bugs around the building for the Boys to monitor them. After the tour, the G-Men meet up for brunch and discuss Hughie and how they need to lay low to avoid Hughie or any other new recruit from exposing them. After the brunch, Five-Oh meets up with other male members of G-Men for a drink and discuss the oddity of Hughie joining, as they were unable to find any information on him.
Eventually, Cold Snap alerts Five-Oh that Godolkin wants them to monitor Silver Kincaid's funeral and stop the teams, G-Style and G-Force from feuding during it. Five-Oh is very unhappy with this news and the two then start talking about Silver Kincaid's suicide, which Five-oh brushes off as deserved since she was against the luxurious life she had as a G-Man, and also simply because he didn't like her.
At the funeral, Five-Oh and Cold Snap's attempt at keeping the peace fails and G-Style and G-Force begin repeatedly insulting each other at the funeral, almost leading to a brawl.
Later, after Hughie is outed by Godolkin as a spy and the Boys arrive to help, they find that Godolkin had summoned the entire G-Men roster to kill the Boys, all lead by Five-Oh, who gives professes the G-Men's loyalty to Godolkin before moving forward to fight the Boys. However, at that moment, Vought Troops arrive and kill all the G-Men for wasting their resources and disobeying them. The Boys are then threatened by Vought as Five-Oh and his team die.
Trivia[]
- Five-Oh is likely a villainous parody of Cyclops from X-Men.
- He describes Silver Kincaid as a "Prick Teaser," implying that he attempted to flirt with her, only for her to turn down his advances.
