~ The Five Fathers' motto. |
The Five Fathers, composed by Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer, Lee Hong, Pablo Belisario Ochoa, Frantz Fuchs and Arkadij Jegorov, refer to a team composed by five former members of French Foreign Legion with different nationalities and races. They are major antagonists in the Hitman video game series, serving as the main antagonistic faction of Hitman: Codename 47 and overarching antagonists for the rest of the franchise.
They participated in a project started by Dr. Ort-Meyer (and manipulated by Providence) to create an army of clones, with Agent 47, Agent 48's and Lucas Grey (aka Subject 6) among them. As such, they are 47's genetic fathers.
Biography[]
Origin[]
In the 1950s, Dr. Otto Wolfgang Ort-Meyer, Lee Hong, Pablo Belisario Ochoa, Frantz Fuchs and Arkadij Jegorov, five men of various nationalities, served in the same unit of the French Foreign Legion. They became friends and Ort-Meyer eventually shared his ideas to create an army of superhuman clones.
After their stint in the French Foreign Legion was finished, each of the Five Fathers donated their DNA through organs to Ort-Meyer's project, as well as funding for his research, allowing him to set up a mental institution in Romania in order to cover his genetic experiments. Meanwhile, the other four all became major crime lords, terrorists or both.
In exchange for the research funding, Ort-Meyer provided his former comrades with donor organs harvested from clone bodies, which significantly extended their longevity and made them appear much younger.
Ort-Meyer's Betrayal[]
However, days after days, the other four fathers began to get impatient with Ort-Meyer and began demanding that he gave them their share of the clones, otherwise they would discontinue their projects.
Ort-Meyer was at his lowest and was fed up by his colleagues. Tired at their pushing, Ort-Meyer finally released Agent 47 and hired him to kill all of the other fathers. However, 47 later discovered the truth behind his origin and killed Ort-Meyer as well, killing all of the Five Fathers for good.

Trivia[]
- Pablo Ochoa is the only one of the five fathers who didn't appear at all in Hitman: Contracts, whether it be in a remastered mission or as a corpse (Ort-Meyer). He's never even mentioned other than in an easter egg during the level Asylum Aftermath.
