The Flame Feeder makes his first appearance a small red orb with a small flame inside it. However, when Dedede tosses him into the volcano during the tour, the Flame Feeder quickly absorbs the lava and turns into a large jellyfish-like creature. The Flame Feeder goes on a rampage, hurling globs of lava at the tourists. Kirby comes to the defense of two fallen tourists and becomes Fire Kirby by inhaling the Flame Feeder's flames with his suction ability. Tiff also calls the Warp Star. Kirby flies around Flame Feeder and gets a clear shot at him. Kirby's fire only strengthens the creature however, and the Flame Feeder knocks Kirby off the Warp Star. Thinking ahead, Tiff convinces the tourists to throw some ice cubes to Kirby from one of the thermos she made them bring with them. Kirby gets the Ice ability and freezes Flame Feeder, which in turn kills the creature as his body disintegrates.
The Flame Feeder first appeared as a small glass orb with a small flame burning inside his core. Once King Dedede throws him into the volcano, the lava inside begins to glow magenta. In his strongest form, the Flame Feeder resembles a giant ocean jelly. The creature's body is made of lava and it has two whitish eyes in the center of his head. His two large tentacles emit a large flame on the ends of them. After his body is blasted by Kirby's ice, the Flame Feeder shrinks and turns a bright neon blue.
- The Flame Feeder is one of the few monsters that does not explode when defeated, others being Popon, Kung Fu Lee, Whippy. His death occurs when Kirby freezes the creature.
- His original form resembles a Gooey Bomb from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
